Yeah, I am sure you will have good looking graphics, but it will also depend on your screen size.

1.  On Hi-Def TV's, the resolution increase is more noticeable on larger TV's.

2.  HDMI just looks like a USB cable, it carries your video & audio signal & right now is generally going to give you the best picture quality available.

3.  No.  Only Hi-Def TV's have HDMI inputs & even then some of them don't, you just have to check on it before you by one.

4.  LCD is bascially Hi-Def because of the resolutions it can support.

1.  The graphics change for the same reason that a painting looks worse the closer you get to it. On a smaller tv, you won't notice poor graphics as much, but stick them up on a huge display and you'll be able to see all the flaws.
2.  HDMI is just another type of cable used to hook up a tv to various devices.  It delivers the best signal quality available right now, so it will make most on-screen images appear at a bit higher quality.
3.  No, many of them do not have hdmi cable inputs.
4.  I'm assuming that you are saying you have an SD LCD.  You should be fine with that, but you will be missing out on a lot of the ability of the ps3.  If you can afford hdtv, I would get one.

heres a better idea than what most people on here seem to have. if you are not wanting to hang the tv on the wall, and you have some room, get a DLP, they are cheap and have a great picture. if you want something smaller than about 37", id buy a LCD, thats where they excel. plasma is good if you have the money, but i would take a DLP over it anyway. get your HDMI cable from www.monoprice.com or ebay, dont pay over $15 bucks for one, or your getting screwed. if you get about a 50+ inch DLP, your looking around $1000-1800 depending on how big you want to go in that 50 range, and if you want 720P or 1080P. the cable is nothing, so dont worry about that, just buy from where i told you there and your good to go

I just got a LCD TV today. Is not much but at least it does 720p. Had no luck with connecting my ps3 to my monitor (HDCP compliant). Anyway, the visual is much, much better than PS2.

I love my PS3. Can't wait for March when most of the exciting games are coming out.

:D
