LED. Better contrast / black levels, wider viewing angles, less power consumption. Even though 1080p would be better for blu-ray, at 32" you won't even care. What you should really focus on is the refresh rate if you want the best out of action movies, sports or any other video media that has fast motion. 60 Hz won't cut it in that sense, you'd want at least 120 Hz. For gaming, it makes no difference.

LED is a better choice because the technology used in LED not only consumes less power it also creates almost zero heat compared to LCD that does create some heat and uses a little more power. Once LED technology catches on more and the light systems drop in price I would replace every light in the house with LED in a heartbeat.

You should ask this in the Audio/Video Hardware forums which you did, so I don't know why you posted this here. :?

Well, i was going to say that LED is clearly better (which it is, technology wise). But, if you want to watch blu-rays then 720p sucks. If you were only going to use it for gaming i would say for the LED since extremely few PS3 games use 1080p.

Me too. If you can stretch for a 1080p LED then I highly recommend it

At 32" the resolution difference is negligible. The LED screen however will have a much more noticeable difference, so go with that. It will use less power too.

LEDs are cheaper. But you can find LCDs for dirt cheap. And buy a SONY tv
