Actually, Valve didn't port the Orange Box to the PS3. They found it to complicated and frustrating (that just leads me to assume they didn't know what they were doing) in which instance they decided they hated the PS3 and outsourced the job through EA. I'm not saying they won't outsource L4D for someone else to port. I'm just saying they won't touch it. The creator of the game actually expressed how much he wanted it to be multiplat at one point. I believe Valve had no intentions of making for PS3 ever and used their good name to get Microsoft to throw them some extra dough for exclusive rights. I could be wrong, though. Could be......Well its not impossible. Valve has developed titles for both systems before and its not like L4D's rights are owned by microsoft. However, it would take some time since Microsoft more than likely paid for exclusivity, timed or not.

Trust me, Valve do not need any money from Microsoft, they are one of the most profitable publishers and independant dev houses at the moment. Then why are they begging Activision for money?? Wether they have money or not, this is business. You're gonna get more money where ever you see the opportunity. Even if they didn't market themselves strictly to MIcrosoft they still took money for an exclusive. Even if they didn't need it they darn sure still wanted it. And that's all I was saying. They, like any other business, saw an opportunity to make a quick buck and jumped on it.It would be cool to have it on the PS3 & allow it to have a 4 player split screen so you can have your friends over & play together.
Although, I'm quite happy with the PC version so I don't care much for it.

That sounds legit. I didnt really think about EA doing the actual porting. My only hope is that they figured out the design of the Ps3 a bit better because it seems smarter to open up more market shares than just ignore it due to difficulty.Well its not impossible. isn't it like 4 player online cooperative?
so i would get the game if it came out for the ps3.. but i could care less if it does or not...
it can be brought to the ps3 but it seems unlikely..

One day I think it will. But I played it on Xbox 360 and didn't get where they hype was coming from...kezlehanYou two are highly intelligent individuals. I agree completely.

Personally I think this game is pretty sweet. I would definatly buy it and here are my reasons.
-You kill zombies
-Has replay value
-YOU CAN PLAY ONLINE AND KILL ZOMBIES WITH FRIENDS OR OTHER FELLOW PS3 OWNERS!!!!
yea, it sounds awesome :D
I doubt it, but if it did I'm sure EA would be handling the port. Regardless, from what I saw from the PC demo, there isn't much there to get excited about. I love killing zombies as much as the next guy, but there just wasn't a lot of game here.
Lets not forget that Valve hates the PS3................. I have the game for my PC and I must say I don't see where all the hype is coming from. All you do is shoot zombies... over...and over.... and over... and over.... It gets pretty old pretty quick. That's just my opinion, though. Tons of people love it. Nephilim83I agree with your opinion. There is nothing to screem about this game.
Not going to happen, Valve hates PS3 period. The only chances we have are that EA decide to port it and seeing as we haven't heard anything yet. I doubt it'll happen.Keir21I don't even care if it happens. There's alot more better games to play on the PS3 than this.
Left 4 Dead IS I repeat IS being ported to the PS3 by EA
Check the link
UPDATE: apparently I can't post a link so just google Left 4 Dead PS3, you'll find that EA is making the port
I think the main reason they did not port over the game and had it put on xbox is because the games main focus is online multiplayer. The Xbozx has a WAY better online community then the PS#. its alot more stable to.
One of the lead designers said they would probably get around to porting it over to the PS3 in an interview before the first one was released. I doubt that happens now tho.
