I was talking to my friend..defending the PS3...hes borderline 360 fan boy.

ok, he said that a sony executive stated the lens on the ps3 is messed up.

he gave no link but it makes me wonder. i will get a ps3 anyways but I would like know if its true or not.

or if its just "some" systems.

thanks

and im no troll :)

Haven't heard anything of the sort. Of what I hear, launch PS3's are surprisingly reliable.

Your friend is full of you know what. This is the first time I ever heard that. The only thing that had a problem was they were having problems producing the diode for the blue laser but that has nothing to do with the lens and they have fixed that.

the ps2 had somewhat of a lens problem me and a few people i know had to have it replaced but only once if 5 years or more towards the back end of that 5 years but never heard anything of the ps3. i would think more of that being an xbox 360 problem since i hear alot of unreadable disk errors and such
