Letdown

So I was watching some games reviews at GS, and I remember my big letdown about a game, that probably was Army of Two :(

I was so hyped about that game and dissapointed me so bad :(

the multiplayer was good though :)

so what was the game that dissapointed you?

assassins creed. I had such high hopes for it. I thought the game was gorgeous and the story was good, but the repeatitive gameplay just kept gnaring at me.

I thought Resistance 2 was after awhile.

Socom was a huge letdown

I have the game and I liked it very much :)

i don't read reviews since they normally nitpick on things i don't care about.. but i would say that last dynasty warriors game (6 i think or was it 2,000), yes i know it takes no skill or that it's just fun to play a mindless repetitive game from time to time, it's relaxing (for me anyways).. but i put it in and no create a character i was like "WTF!!"

abou GTA IV I have to agree with you guys :?

at themiddle of the game, the missions were all about killing this guy or that guy or killing a group of guy's, were a bit repeatitive

Based on how much I enjoyed Resistance: Fall of Man, I had very high expectations for Resistance 2. Sadly, Resistance 2 was such an epic let down for me. In fact, I was so disappointed in Resistance 2 that I would name it my most disappointing game of 2008.

GTA4 definetly. The game was so slow paced compared to its predecessors that it felt like I was playing in slow-mo mode the entire time.

killzone 2 sadly....campaign was rubbish :cry:

Far Cry 2. A flawed, repetitive mess.Floppy_Jim

The biggest let down this gen for me was Warhawk. I waited 5 months to get the game and haven't touched it in maybe 6 months. Waste of money if you ask me.

All the Madden games. I loved them back in the PS2 days, but I don't care for them at all. To me, it seemed it got "too realistic" with this gen. I liked the PS2 days when me and my friends would play and the final score would be like 77-76 haha.

resistance 2 was ok, not as gd as i thought it would be. i had more fun wit dead space and farcry 2 (both amazing games)

Dead Space, somehow I got actually fooled into thinking I was buying a Survival Horror.

Asssasin's Creed and Def Jam Icon

My biggest let down was Metal Gear Solid 4.... wait wait,that was one of the best games ever made(in my book). My biggest disappointment was Assassin's Creed and Rachet & Clank:TOD. R&C just didn't bring anything new to the table except pixar like graphics and a few crazy weapons. Assassins Creed was a let down because of its repetition and lack of "Assassination mode"( I think it never had this mode)- so you can assassinate a target without going through the repetitive missions again. That would increase its longevity.

GTA IV for me as well... picked it up, loaded it and played it up to my first save... haven't had the urge/interest to play it up to this day...

COD: WAW, the single playter was fun but I could just not get into the multiplayer and lost all interest in the game.

For me Army of Two was a lot better than i expected, I saw videos of it and i thought it was going to be a cheap second hand knock off of gears of war (and while in essence it is just that) I just found the game to be a blast to play and i am really looking forward to the follow up game.

Anyway games that let me down. I guess for myself the game for PS3 which completely let me down was in a way GTA 4. Sure you cannot knock the fact they had made a fully living and breathing city however there was something missing from the classic GTA games (like 1 2 3 and vice city, SA was one of the worse GTA games ever made in my eyes but i am digressing here) mostly the wise cracking humor of Nico. I think if the character would have been someone with the comical timing of say Brucie or even Roman then it wouldn't have been that bad. Also the keeping everyone happy bit didn't help matters. I mean for example if i want to go drinking in the real world i will call my band mates up.

Other let downs Far Cry 2 at times too painful or boring to play but looks great, erm Pro Evo Soccer (winning 11) hasn't been good since PES 6 on the xbox 360
