anyone else think it is way too difficult? should be closer to cod4's ranking system... and it's all ust for customization options, not new weapons or anything.. kind of lame although the game is great...
Difficult? i find it Spot On. i mean, before it was like "hah! i killed someone" ... "congrats you are now Ultimate Omga somethingsupersmart Commander" i mean, that was too easy. now it's a challenge.
The fact it takes longer is a way to get people to play the game a little bit longer (actually a lot longer) and the rank actually means something now, just the other day I was playing and people were impressed that there was a lieutenant playing with them.
While the fact you don't get anything when you rank up save the skins and customization features may be a little hollow it means that every soldier on the field of battle is fighting somone with an equal shot at beating them. I don't think I would have it any other way. THe devs said they were releasing more soldier weapons in subsequent patches (you wont have to buy) so chill out.
Yea it takes many hours of play to get higher rank. I am only a Wingman right now, (4th or 5th rank up). Its going to be a long journey. I guess the only incentive is to look like a pimp and thats not bad hahaha.
i like it but i dont becuase the rank realy doesnt matter you dont get any thing new (wepon wise) and eventually its just all about how accurate you are aiming i also dont like how you cant realy aim down the sites

i dont think theres enough reward for it. i like WH, but really, the custom options aren't that great, and they could add variety to the game by allowing you to unlock weapons, and choose X amount to start with during a match, similar to COD4. i've really fallen out of it though, even with the add-on, i rarly play it. feels way too slow now, but the first week i had it i was hooked. i like UT3 more, faster paced and more variety, espeicailly with the maps. another way they could add more playability to WH is adding map customization options, weather, vehicle types, weapon types, simple things like that. just my 2 cents

Erm, well like the others said theres not much point, but my best answer will say go on zones and capture bases,you get like 15 points per capture, alot quicker if you are rubbish at death matches. Make sure you have the award you need to have for the level you wanna get. visit www.warhawkstats.com and it'll tell you what you need to do for each rank, it is probably the best fansite for warhawk

Commander FTW!!, dont make me pull rank private, LOL i'm having a blast with this games as much fun as i had in the pre Goldeneye era playing with my brothers 4 player splitscreen. What would really make my day would be Warhawk 2 bigger map double the players (64), Polished graphics since they got the gameplay down already.
the reward is that you worked hard to get a rank and it is displaye for some time untill you rank up again. its more about having the rank than antthing else
