I'm gonna buy a PS3 when I get my paycheck and I was wondering if anyone here has tried any Linux versions on PS3 and if you had any recomendations or advice. And will the PS3 be good for playing x264 HD videos? That's what I'm gonna use it for

I only know Linux on PS3 similar a Pentium 3 256MB ram. Therefore I don't install Linux. I hate Linux since I ran it on PC.

no point. can't even acess internet through wifi if you have the 60 gig version. If i need to do computer like stuff, ill just walk two feet to my computer.

I installed Yellow Dog on my PS3. It is good theres loads of stuff you can do althought im not very technically gifted so i havent used it to its potential. lol The good thing is you can easily swap between The PS3 OS and Yellow Dog.
