It's like when Skate 2 got 7.5 on GameSpot (i think). The review was based on a gamers view, the type of gamer who earlier has review FPS's, TPS's, RPG's etc. For Skate 2 they should've gotten a Skaters perspective, or at least someone who likes skating. Same thing with LBP.king-kj
I do have to agree with you there if they asked someone who likes platformers to reveiw it and them someone who doesn't. Both sets of gamers would know whether to buy it or not. And nobody would have to waste their money.
This is ridiculous...it's a platform game. So, they review it as a platform game, and rate it as how it performs on those merits. If you don't like platformers, don't buy it, regardless of how someone rates it. Killzone 2 was great, it got rated great, personally, I couldn't care less what someone who doesn't like FPS thinks about it. Same thing for LBP...If you didn't like Platformers, and wanted to see what all the hype was about, you should've just rented it, or borrowed it from a friend.
Because, as far as platformers go, it's great. It has a decent single player, is a blast to play as a party game, and has endless replayability with user created levels (which many people like doing, even if you find the task daunting)
My only complaint would be that they release too much pointless DLC, endless costume packs...at least they keep those cheap...
