Yeah. I thought the same at first, but once you get up to the Mexican canyon levels and unlock explosives, byou suddenly get a burst of creative inspiration. At least, I did...
It was fun for the first week when i was collecting prize bubbles and what not.. was really looking forward to the online.. but server problems, crappy search tool, horrible stat tracking, and especially no co-op online creation mode killed it for me...
LBP is the best game ever, the more you play the better the game, ten times better than FPSs, twenty five times better than any games out there..... oh well, you don't like it then don't.
Bro it gets really fun trust me especially if you take it online o and if like shooting then download the new mgs4 leve, pack from the playstation store it comes with a paintball gun you can use and it's a blast
Maybe you dont like platformers, despite Mario being your avatar. I like them and Ill rent it just because I worry how long the single player mode is and because Im not sure how much Ill enjoy the online asect of the game. Creating levels does not sound too fun to me, but who knows.
I think it's as cute and fun as your Mario... and maybe you've a more mature gamer now... but still, give it a little more play time and maybe you'll change your mind... if not, trade it for an FPS to someone else interested.
I play it mostly alone and really love it. It has a constant stream of DLC and is difficult enough to be more fun than frustating. Creating levels is really rewarding too. If this game was on the Wii, it would have broken sales records.

i just barely started, and i'm kinda getting bored. i'm pretty much more of a shooting type person. does LBP get more fun later or something?BigDanny94
get 4 buddies with you and it can last hours upon hours:) it really is a fantastic game
I find it boring when i'm not playing with other online during the story mode. I got really exited and started making a lv and spent lots of time on it. :cry: Then i realized it sucked so I never published it.
My online co-op does not work but playing with buddies is awesome. I had three friends over, we all played the main story and it was tons of funs and laughs. We also played some online levels and that was really cool as well. Also, one of my friends stayed over for the night and we started building a level which is turning out great. I am glad i got LBP for christmas.
So all in all, if you have some buddies to play with, then this game will be great. If you play alone, then you will not really like it,
I'm a fan of shooters and simulated violence in general, but I was also brought up in the Atari and 8 bit era, so I have an innate love for platformers as well. I gotta say, I didn't expect to like LBP as much as i do. I play with my girlfriend and find it the most fun multiplayer. Also, I am starting to get into designing my own levels and mini games so that aspect is also very appealing. In the end, this game depends on you to like platformers and design and creation. Don't bother if you like neither.
