just like okami, killer7, viva pinata,and a billion of other games, this is getting rave reviews, but john q. public doesnt care. the hardcore gamers like all of you will buy it, and im looking forward to it, but it wont sell well. just letting you know so youre not upset.
Hes saying the game will probably be good and get good reviews, and all the hard core gamers who keep up on the latest game coming out will prob get it, But unless advertised properly the largest makret 15-25 year old guys see a game with teddy bears and wont buy it or give it a second glance (like viva pinata)

i actually took time to read your post. Just a suggestion here, your topic screams troll fanboyism ignorance, but your post is actually an intelligent conversation. its a huge problem i have with alot of people. The truly under appreciated games just never get played. How many of us here have played the awesome Ico. Sure lots of us. But ask that in the leaderboards of halo and madden and people will ask you if Ico is a type of fruit. Its sad really but oh well. all we can do is support our favorite games. Dont rent them, buy them. Dont trade them in, hold on to them and cherish them. I traded in Ico many years ago and its a mistake i hold against myself forever, or until i buy it again with my next paycheck

personally i think this game will get great reviews and will sell like crazy, i can see it being in most ps3 owners libraries. the whole create, play and share thing is just brilliant, i agree it will need some good marketing, but personally i think that the ps3 community will do that on its own , every1 will be talking about it. sales through the roof in my opinion.

You are missing the poster's point. That hype and coverage is amongst us game nerds that are here on forums of a gaming website. We make a very small percentage of gamers. Go to a mall and start asking people what they think about Little Big Planet. They wont know what you are talking about. Fact is this kind of game will quickly be written off as a little kids game when its anything but. Of course for those of us who keep up to date with gaming news and the industry, we will enjoy true next gen power and amazing community features and the chance to be Little Big Developers. this ones gonna be sweet
I flop is a game that doesn't live up to the hype... has nothing to do with sales. That just means it will be a sleeper hit. And yet, I still think the game will sell a million or two easy. It's the type of quirky game that plenty of PS gamers enjoy and bought the system for.

Well take guitar hero for example when it first came my friends were like thats looks like elmo's guitar game. but once they picked up the guitar and started playing they were hooked, and im sure its been the same for many people. GH grew to be huge and i think it will be the same with LBP over time.
That doesnt make sense, why would you ask a random person about this game. Obviously a regular person wouldnt know but if you ask someone with a ps3 they would.......
