so ive been wondering now days when online multiplayers are so common, i was just wondering how can you tell when a game has online multiplayer or local multiplayer? i mean for a game like resident evil 5 it says 1-2 player on the back of the box, does that mean local and online, how about death spank? or say modern warfare 2?

Most games, at least with high production values, will support local multiplayer if it has online multiplayer. Resident evil 5 is local AND online co-op. Don't know about Death Spank since I did not purchase it...with not liking the demo one bit and all. And modern warfare only has local co-op with only special ops. A good way to tell while you are shopping for a game at Gamestop or another used video game store, is to just read through the manual from the display case.
