LoL, yesturday the 40 gb PS3 came in the mail when I was home so I went to the store with my mom and came back with my dad, I started looking for the PS3, my mom noticed I was looking so she said you won't find it and just 10 minutes ago today 11/7/07I went to one of the rooms and found it in the closet. HAHA I knew I'd find it Sucker (mom)!!!! But I still can't opean till xmas. It's wrapped in a white bag she will open the bag and cut out the bar code for the 5 free blu-ray moviesand when shes gone I will look at the box maybe just opean it to see how it looks like.
I fell sorry for you :( you have to wait 1.5 months untill you can ope your PS3!! Gonna be a painfull wait :P
I recommend you to open it carefully,without damaging the paper and the duck tape. Open it, see how it looks like put it back on the box and close the paper again.Carefully!
lol i would not evn think about it or lookat it because it will be the laongest 2 mouths you will ever have.
mom if i clean the house, wash the car, do the laudry, take out the trash, do the dishes, ect. can i open it early.
lol or find a rock that is about the same waight as the ps 3 open it put the rock in it and hide the ps 3 in your room somewere so she can't see while you play it. or lol just put your ps 2 in itfor now.
is your dad a gamer because you can sit there and show him this game that game on your pc maybe he will say hun santa came early this year. lol throws you out of the living room and plays it his self.

lol unfortunatly my dad hates video games :( the chores would never work cuz I know my mom but it's only 6 weeks and 4 more days till xmas from tom. but I eill be patient, by the way I bet this lady at my house 10 bux I won't opean till xmas (she's leaving in 6 or 5 days and I'll win the bet!
One more quick comment, don't get all crazy now that you know you are getting one. They can still take it back. You should be like an Angel sent from heaven for the next 7 weeks. :)

LOL I remember those days. That was my mom too. I've got 3 kids now myself, but my kids are lucky. I always buy these things for myself and tell my wife "it's for the kids." :)
Dude, I'm going through the same situation except it's not my mom, it's my girlfriend and the PS3 is not in a closet it's right next to me and if I open it, I'm ded.
just dont put a hit out on them cuz they wont give it to u. they bought it for u. be happy when u do get it. dont be stupid like some other kids in the world

Yeah I remember those days! My most fond memory in terms of christmas (other than PS2, since it was the last system that I didn't pay for myself) was the Sega Genesis. Such great memories!!! :)
^ agreed. The last system that that I didn't pay for was a ps2. I had to beg and plead with my dad. Finally he gave in when he saw an ad that had a ps2 + minority report(game) for like $150. Unfortunatly I had to buy my ps3 with my own money...its worth every penny.
Sorry you have to wait. I got mine on Saturday and get to use it since I paid for it. Oh well, I had to wait to get my NES back in the day. But, the anticipation will just make it that much better. I couldn't look for the stash when I was a kid though, first they would wrap everything right away and use extra tape to make it impossible to take any peeks...should we have found the gifts.

Wooa that's harsh, my parents dont pack right away, only like when they put up a christmas tree.
Reminds me of when I got my PS2. I found it about 4 weeks before Christmas, I was sooooo.....stocked. But, I had to wait for four weeks. It was like torture. But, when I opened it on Christmas morning, it was so great. Made the waiting worth it.
