What was the longest time you played a game? For me when god of war 2 came out I started playing in the night and played all the way up to the next day. Proabably at least 10 hours...

When I was in high school, Borrowed KotOR from a friend one summer... had never even seen Star Wars at that point and had very little experience with RPG's. I was in love instantly. I set myself up on one of those inflatable tubes made for taking on snow with some added pillows and blankets for supreme comfort. I don't know how long I played in one sitting, but I spent most of my time in that seat for a solid week.

When I was a kid, I remember playing NHL 94 with my brother from morning until night. We would stop to eat and shit. That was it. LOL. Other than that, I would say Ocarina of Time. I remember the day I got it. I skipped college that day and waited for the store to open. They didn't even have it out of the box yet. I was the first to get it. I ran home and played it all day and thought it was the greatest game ever (still do).

EDIT: Just realized this was on the Playstation board. Hmm.... in terms of PS games.... It would probably be the original Gran Turismo. I remember playing that all day unlocking cars and progressing through the career.

Might be a bit little over 18 hours with me when I was playing Persona 4 Golden on a Saturday night. Thankfully it was on a day I didn't have to work- went from 13 hours of gameplay according to the save's timestamp and ended up at 31.

Wow! That is impressive. P4:G... what a game.

-----------------

Not sure of my longest gaming session... I've probably done 7-8 hours a few times with a few different games. Generally I play an hour or two at a time.

I played mw2 every day from the time I woke up until I went to sleep 16 hours a day for 3 months. It damn near killed me. I had a pounding headache that wouldn't go away. I started having heart palpitations. My blood pressure was at stroke level. I was told by a doctor to quit playing. I was obsessed with my KD ratio I was in the top 1000 on the leader boards. I was obsessed with my stats and I wanted to break the top 100.

Definitely an easy game to sink time into. I think I ended up spending about 140 hours on that game across 2 playthroughs. Pretty sure I didn't spend 18 hours on it at once though lol.

Anyway, as far as non-stop gaming time goes... I have no idea. I can lose track of time and maybe occasionally drop 4 or 5 hours at once on a game, but anything beyond that is exhausting. Plus, I get hungry and whatnot obviously. But as far as entire day goes, I've probably gone over 10 hours on a number of occasions throughout my life. I don't know if you'd count time spent past midnight from when I was able to stay up that late because of not having to work really early in the morning, but yeah... I guess my final answer is "I don't know".

During the extra life fundraiser I managed 22 hours with 15 minute break each hour for food, washroom break and coffee. Then I collapsed and finished the last 2 hours once I awoken. 22 hours is my longest game session. Before that the longest was dusk to dawn.

Hmmm that's a tough one... I've spent a lot of hours on Civilization 5. Not sure about in one sitting however... Maybe Mass Effect 3. I was really hooked on that!

I think like 16 hours back in middle school.

The most I can manage these days is the 4 hour range.

Had the day off and forgot i had set my alarm so was up at 7am. Probably got online on WoW about 8:30 and I remember not logging off until exactly 05:16 the next morning. Was a fun day but not exactly productive, in real life or the game. Ahhhh... good times.

20 hours, give or take an hour for food and drink.

[Edit] I didn't exactly get tired afterwards, just shaky and feeling a bit odd. I had to go to college in 2 hours after i finally logged off so in about 72 hours i had like 2 hours sleep. I felt my body completely stressing out but I drank lots of water and was fine, probably not the best way to spend my most educational years but we all did it.

for a Playstation game I would say around 12 hours with GTA San Andreas on PS2 and Red Dead Redemption on PS3

on PC I have easily put in 20 hours or more in one session of City of Heroes.

It is definitely tough to say, but back during FFVII's hay-day, I would spend HOURS leveling up that materia to create an absolutely crushing team. All that work eventually made both the Ruby and Emerald Weapon look like a walk in the park :)

Definitely SOCOM took up a good amount of my life. 12-16 hour sessions were a norm. Sometimes more

I don't really keep track but I beat God of war in one 8 hour sitting with a 30 min break for food. I probably played games in longer sessions without breaks but like I said I didn't keep track. I've noticed it was 4 in the morning an awful lot of times in my lifetime

In recent memory, it was 10 hours on the second day of Bloodborne. Expecting Witcher 3 to break that one.

When SOCOM II was at its peak, I played for 10 hours straight one day/evening. The only other time I played that amount of time was Skyrim. The only difference was halfway into it I stopped to eat dinner.

Me and a friend once played Star Wars Battlefront in almost 8 consecutive hours. No breaks at all, we didn't even get off the game to relieve ourselves because we were so soaked up in the game.

Deus ex: Human Revolution - played that game for 8 hours, straight (with bathroom breaks in between of course). i loved everything about the game: story, characters, setting, augmentation upgrades and especially the music.

My longest game session was probably Unreal Tournament on PC with my bud back in the late 90's. It ran probably 10-12 hours as a group of us were playing networked together against bots. Good times.

The last extended gaming session I did was the day that Uncharted Drake's Fortune came out. I played for 7-8 hours start to finish. Incredible experience and the series quickly became my favorite. Sadly, that's probably the last time that I'll be able to spend that kind of time all at once on any game. Just too busy these days.
