what makes me wonder about these titles.. ISn't why didn't they release them as a single compilation on one UMD disk.. to me it seems like they are milking the franchise entirelly to omuch.

Indeed square is full of greedy bastards and that's why i stopped liking rpg games that much. When people say old school rpg they mean something like all the final fantasy series except for the ones after X and X-2. You call FF tactics War of the lions an old school rpg??? Well it's not because it's simply tactics for crying out loud!!! Tactics are fun ok i can't disagree on that but making 80% of psp RPG's tactics is disguisting! Old school rpg's are the ones that have the standard system of Active Time Battle, it's a big world with tons of cities WHICH YOU CAN VISIT and talk to the people that are inside it.. The (by everyone loved) airship, the unique way of learning spells and abilities, and the side games which weren't boring at all. The thing that i liked most was the huge world map which you could explore every single bit of it. I was waiting so much for FF Crisis Core only to discover that it is an action rpg which only has missions for you to complete (which are ONLY battling monsters) and it reveals Zack's past! Ow wow... :S
I'm sorry if i made it a talk about all the final fantasy's but it was the first game that i ever played and i hate seeing how rpg's are becoming. I have played all the final fantasy's 3 times till now and not even for once i got bored. I just can't understand why can't they make games like these anymore?!
Anyway, you're right. And that's just the way it is now. No more games with that formula we want back then. It's all just good graphics. I miss the times when RPGs are all about the plot and the characters.
