Looking for a new multiplayer game

So I just got rid of Call of Duty 3, getting sick of Battlefield 3, I'm looking for a new game to play online, (for PS3) it doesn't have to be a shooter but that would be prefered, i'm looking for something that is fun and has a good population base

Uncharted 3 is good and new Ghost Recon game has very good tactical multiplayer I had been enjoying in current beta.

just throwing this out there supposedly syndicated has good online co-op modes and the visuals look impressive,blaqphantom

Not a fan of the game itself, but the visuals are some of the best I've seen. They really got the cyberpunk artstyle. Glad to hear the multi-player is good, 'cause frankly I did not enjoy the single-player even a bit.

For TC: Not a multi-player typa person myself, but I just got Uncharted 3 and wanted to give the multi-player a try. I didn't play it a lot, but the few rounds were pretty fun.

Killzone 2 or 3 are pretty fun.

But a game that surprised me was Shank 2. It's really fun.

try Killzone 3, its for free now (until you reach rank 10 or whatever)

Could try Assassin's Creed Brotherhood or Revelations, the multiplayer in this is a lot different from other games

Killzone 2 and 3, Mass Effect 3

The only multiplayer I could get into this gen was Super Street Fighter IV. I suggest you do the same and enjoy the wonderful world of competitive fighting games.

I've always felt that FPS's were for cowards and fighters were for real men :P

I just pre-ordered Starhawk today so definitely looking forward to play it. I just hope my PS3 decides to be good and actually play the game.

Starhawk is coming out soon and the beta was really fun in my opinion. Uncharted 3 has iffy matchmaking, but a strong community at the moment and is pretty fun. Modnation Racers and LittleBigPlanet 1/2 are great online. I got LBP1 for free from the welcome back program, and people still play online on it, so I assume even more are playing the 2nd game. However, I don't have Modnation Racers so I can't speak for its community at the moment. If it doesn't have a strong one, another good car combat game online is Twisted Metal. You could get Dark Souls and try its unique online experience as well, and there are some other shooters in the market - mainly Killzone 3 and Resistance 3.
