Looking for RPG with good storyline

Hi,

I'm looking for a RPG with a good storyline, not just one of those dungeon crawling/hack&slash like rpg's which most seem to be these days. Something like the old Baldurs Gate/Planescape for PC or the suikoden series for PS1/2.

Well, FF7 and FF8 or on PSN now, classic RPGS and very fun to play in the palm of your hand. Also the monster hunter series is a fun rpgish game.

Thanks everybody for your input, for now my eyes are on Legend of Heroes I/II or III (whichever i can get a hold on). But keep the input coming.

To specify my question a bit more, some aspects i really like in rpg's is added depth, like making you own choices (and so directly influense the story) or romances and such do you know any games that have this stuff?

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Tales of Eternia Tales of Rebirth (This one is Japan-only but you can find guides on the net with full dialogues and battle system explanation. Order the game from play-asia.com if you want, they ship world-wide.) Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness Final Fantasy VII (you can get it from PSN ---> PSOne Classics) Also, stay away from Monster Hunter Freedom. It has NO story worth mentioning.pooyanh

However, it is quite possibly the best PSP game ive ever played (yes im including Resistance, God of War, Syphon Filter, and PixelJunk Monster, to name a few)

True there is no story, but its replay value is insane
