Looks Like Tomorrow's Announcement has Nothing to do with a PS3 Price Cut.

Sony just recently denied that a price cut towards the PS3 isn't happening. Looks like if there is a price cut, it'll be between the PS2 or the PSP.

i very much expect a price cut at E3. And for sony's sake i hope im right. I think the ps3 is wroth the mony they are asking for it. i mean its a great blueray player,great game system, pretty much complete internet function,motion controls, free psn,linux capable, ectect. But that does not mean some people will pay that. I mean for us who constantly hang on game relatedweb sites ect its almost a no brainer, but there are a ton of gamers out there who would like to have one but just cant justify paying 400+ for a game system. and there a lot of gamers who look at the sticker price of the ps3 vs the 360 wich also has a greatgame line up and they think thats the best deal, and for some i supose it is. remember not every body has the time ect to realy delve deep into what all comes with the ps3 vs has to be bought sepert for the 360 and what the ps3 can do that the 360 just cant. another words the averge joe does not have the knowlge to relize what a great bang for the buck the ps3 is right now.

PS3 better get a price cut so they can sell more. But i hopes it a PSP2 b/c i hav been dying for a PSP ever since my old one broke and its been forever. And i hav been too scared to buy another one b/c i keep thinkin a PSP2 will come out soon.

ya thats true, Square also said that they are planning on announcing something about KH tomorrow.. could it really be a new KH game.. hmm i really would like to know and cant wait till tomorrow

Whatever the announcement turns out to be, I think Sony has really done a good job of peaking everyones interest. The amount of speculation about tomorrows announcement has been much higher than any other one that I can recall in recent history.

What I want them to have that would keep me happy is debuting some new games. Perhaps that "super secret non-team ico big budget project thats been in production for many years" game.

I have no idea what it could be. A PS2 price cut would just be dissapointing for the hype. I'm hoping for the announcement of a big game. I doubt it though.

It would be very, VERY wise move IMO for Sony to have a price cut on PS3...VERY wise. Think about it... their sales have been steadily rising even before the recent great crop of exclusives. Now after games such as Killzone 2, Resistance 2, LBP and of course MGS4 interest among non-owners in buying a PS3 is probably at the highest it has ever been. A price cut at a strategic time like now after the crop of great exclusives could be that final "push" and convince a large group of people who were on the fence to finally go ahead and buy one, broadening Sony's audience even further.
