people were so hyped about his game, with all the news and trailers available, the demo was nice, and in the end, it gets a 5.5? omg. i expected A LOT more from this game but oh well.

i like the online demo ( except for your gernades blowing up in front of you every time someone shoots it ) my dad getting it first day,i dont care for co op,the story mode in first one was boring,i just liked online,so ill be playing online, but not co-op
[QUOTE="4NGoods"]Day one buy for me! J/k, to be honest, it doesn't surprise me, i bought the first one and really didnt enjoy it. [/QUOTE
Agreed. I didnt care the first one either but i was willing to get the second one a chance but after playing the demo and now seening that it has a lot of flaws. I know i wont was money on this game even when it goes down in price.
why r u letting game spot tell you what game to get?judge it yourself, not gamespot.they rated games i play bad but i rate them good
i dont always follow what gamespot reviews, but they are right when they say that this game has horrible gameplay, etc, i never look at the score, but the score tells you how flawed a game could be. but this was a big dissapointment, if thid game had a 7.0 at least i would no that the flaws are less and give you a decent gameplay experience and i would consider trying it, but a 5.5? SUPER FLAWED.why r u letting game spot tell you what game to get?judge it yourself, not gamespot.they rated games i play bad but i rate them good

they didnt like the first one either but i loved it ( multiplayer ) i dont care for story mode, and that review was for story mode on lost planet 2 so i liked the lp2 demo ( not talking bout co-op ) so im all good :P
Those people that are anti-reviews just stop trying to convince people to not listen to GameSpot. It's a blessing that we have reviewers so we wont waste time and MONEY on games that are flat out broken and far from worthy. For the most part nearly every major website/magazine has gave this game HORRIBLE ratings and it's NOT a coincidence or a conspiracy against Capcom. I make my game purchasing decisions of of reviews and that's my prerogative and I'll do what I want to do. So yes, I let GameSpot - IGN - and GameTrailers make my final purchase decision for me (and there really aint nothing wrong with that) to each his own! I don't got money to waste to find out it sucks when I get it home.gamer082009Well said, 100% agree, hey I look at GameSpot, IGN, and GameTrailers too.
I'm not surprised really; the new graphics engine is bad, i hate it. No snow either, which was one element that made LP good. Content cuts (typical capcom cheapskates) and also for some reason, the most obvious thing to interpret into the game is a "pre-game lobby" for MP. There wasn't one in LP:EC or LP:C and it's the same in LP2. It's pathetically stupid! There is no way of having a guaranteed spot on your friends team.
Man Capcom are dumb, and apparently they "listened" to fans this time around. Ha, yeah of course. There are better games coming out this month anyway, Split/Second and PoP:TFS

...oh, and read my sig... i think you will agree
It's amazing that a big company like Capcom can have their profits go down by 73%, and then they come out with a game like this. Doesn't their financial situation inspire them to do some quality control on their products? Apparently a bunch of millionaire executives don't think that would be a good idea.
If only the AI was better. This game has a serious futuristic Monster Hunter feel about it, so I was looking forward to seeing how it turned out. Guess I'll have to keep slaying dragons with my great sword...
I never really liked LP 1 (yes I had the "better" version not the port) I gave the LP2 a shot because everyone seemed to like it. That demo was HORRIBLE. It felt like a chore taking down that monster. I did it three times to try to get into it. IMO im glad it got this score. At least I know I was right in hating it.
they didnt like the first one either
Yeah, that's why they gave it the horrible score of 8.1 on the 360 and 7 on the PS3 when it came out a year later and wasn't as good.

I don't remember much hype for LP2...all I can remember is hype for RDR, and before that hype for FFXIII, Heavy Rain, and GoW3. According to the article I read in a mag, it's not very good at all. I was never interested to begin with, though.

If you think that there is a chance in hell that you will like a game, buy it, because we all know that you have the money. So what if a game gets mixed scores with the text almost all sounding bad, so what if a game gets all 2s? The reviews are all just liars paid off by the evil corporations to rate games too high or too low, they CAN NOT be trusted. Forget about both facts and opinions by players and reviewers, just buy everything that comes out and rate it yourself, if you run out of money just go outside and pick some more from that money tree everyone keeps in their backyard. Reviews serve no purpose, we must return to the NES area of gaming where you just go out and pick up a game based on the box art hoping for the best, maybe the game turned out good, maybe bad and you just blew $50-$100 on a buggy unplayable mess, but dammit, at least no one was trying to influence you.

Not gonna lie, I lol'd good.
For seriouslies though, scores mean absolutely nothing. However, too many people go by score and don't even read the reviews/articles. The score is only the final opinion, however, the actual review content are all observations based off of fact and experience with the particular game.
