Lots of sequels appearing on PS3.

To name a few; MGS4, DMC4, Silent Hill 5, Resident Evil 5, Tekken 6 and Soul Calibur 4.

My question is, for the non-fighters, will you play the previous titles to catch up on the history of the game?

Personally I've never played any Silent Hill games, so I plan on playng the first four to get a better grasp of story ans such.

I've played the DMC games loved them loved the story and especially the cutscenese can't wait for four. Was never big on Silent Hill games so not getting that. didn't like the resident evil games till 4 and if 5 is like that at all im definitely getting it. Tekken is good but i always leaned towards virtual fighter. and i'v played the soul calibur games and liked them so im definetly getting 4

Never was a MGS fan didn't like two people suggested to get snake eater, and i got subsistence. while i think the story and the game is much better the game just isn't for me and its the reason im not gonna get MGS4. the story in 4 also doesn't interest me much though i really liked the story in snake eater.

Silent Hill, Silent Hill 3, and Silent Hill 4 are a little bit more connected. Silent Hill 3 is the real sequel to the first game. You don't really have to play Silent Hill 2 but it's fairly interesting. I found this funny image of the main characters from all 4 games holding a rope so they wouldn't be seperated. The main character of Silent Hill 2 is at the end of the rope and he's getting attacked by Pyramid Head.
