Que the posts about how GTA IV wasn't really that good to begin with............Kuruption84And que the posts trying to make people with genuine dislike for the game sound like fanboys...
It definitely sucks for PS3 owners who want it. I do find it ridiculous that such substantial content that will add so much to the game is exclusive to one platform, but unfortunately that's what happens when one company is willing to shell out huge money (not that I blame them, frankly).
I would be even more pissed if I didn't have a 360, but fortunately for me, I do, but I'm going to hold-off on buying it in hopes it shows for the PC.
Who knows, though, what exactly the terms of the Rockstar/Microsoft deal are. Perhaps The Lost and Damned is temporarily exclusive, or perhaps it's permanent. Who can say for sure, really? All I know is that the term 'exclusive' doesn't carry much merit this gen, so you never know.
Hopefully it does come to the PS3 because it would be a shame to have that much extra GTA goodness blocked from PS3 owners.
It's because Sony prefer to put their money towards developing entirely new games instead of paying for exclusive DLC. Perhaps it's a shame (especially for GTA fans) but what would you choose- better games or exclusive DLC?Floppy_Jim
yeah. where's all these so called new ip's at? stop making excuses for sony. they've messed up a lot so far this gen, and i can't believe you fanboys still sit there and make excuses for them. i have a ps3 and play it all the time, but i know sony has f'd up a lot so far.

Resistance, Heavenly Sword, Folklore, Little Big Planet, Uncharted etc. Sony has put out a hell of a lot more new first party IPs than MS or Nintendo. If anyone sounds like a fanboy, it's yourself.[QUOTE="Kuruption84"]Que the posts about how GTA IV wasn't really that good to begin with............Silent-HalAnd que the posts trying to make people with genuine dislike for the game sound like fanboys... Silent-HalThey kind of had to, since launching late and overcomplicating the hardware gave an early third party edge to Microsoft. They also had to counter the money Microsoft injected into development of JRPGs, even if it didn't really pay off (one could argue that Lost Odyssey was decent, but Blue Dragon was very derivative). Also, Motorstorm.
I have yet to come across any DLC that piqued my interest. Most of it just seems kind of forgettable. So, I'm not sure how this will be much more different.Canvas_Of_FleshPlus, you're totally locked into it and can't sell it if you hate it or change your mind later on, which is something that's always bugged me about downloadable games and addons.

Que the posts about how GTA IV wasn't really that good to begin with............Kuruption84Well I guess for people that don't play a lot of games they would want a GTA IV expansion, but for gamers that play all kinds of games, the GTA games haven't been anything special since GTA III. After that it is just same thing just different setting (80's Vice City, African American San Andreas, Foreigner IV)

I play loads of games from all genres, across all consoles, handhelds and the PC, and yet I would want the GTA IV expansion, and I also thought that GTA IV was incredible. Best in the series, in fact.
:?
I read the review on The lost and the dammed and it looked sweet. I just dont get why it is only for XBL and not PSN. I makes me mad. What about you guys?nikgammaI could care less about that side game.

we hardly have 3rd party exclusives. or is MS just that much richer than sony? :?

If anyone sounds like a fanboy, it's yourself. i have both systems. i just know how to take the blinders off and admit when a company that you've always supported screws up.Meh. I'd be more upset if we didn't get the Valkyria Chronicles dlc. Valk. is a bazillion times better than gtaiv. Gtaiv is no chump either though. It was just kinda overhyped and underwhelming. My blockbuster had like literally 20 used copies of the game that they couldn't sell at 34.99. So they had to mark it all the way down to 14.99 for people to buy it.
Also they took way too long for the dlc to even come out. Now alot of ps3 owners have moved on and are getting amped for killzone 2 and uncharted. I am kinda glad sony didn't spend 50 million on dlc. I am almost sure they wouldn't have gotten their money back.
[QUOTE="GodofBigMacs"]M$ paid 50 million for two DLC's... TheTenth10
it was 500 million
Wow, i wonder if it was really worth it to ms. Can they really recoup the 500 mil from 20 dollar dlc? How many times would it have to be downloaded to make the money back? 25 million downloads?

It was 50 million. Tip: Don't believe everything someone says.I would not have gotten it anyway, a $20 price tag is a little steepthelastguyIt's actually worth the money, you should see how much content there is.
