Mad Catz Wireless Gamepad for PS3, NFL Style. Is it worth it?

So, I'm in the market for another controller as I want to have 2. I want something cool and different from the black PS3 controller. Something that would be "mine", while anyone else who wanted to play with me would take the normal controller (Yes, I am a bit greedy I guess). I stumbled upon this:

As a Chargers fan, I would love to get this. However, I have had three 3rd party controllers in my life, and out of those, 2 died on me quickly. I have heard good things about Mad Catz, but I would hate to drop $40 on a controller that doesn't work. So, my question is, Mad Catz reliable? Also, does anyone else have an NFL gamepad, and does it work well? Lastly, the listing says it has the "home" button on it, but I don't see one in the picture. Just wondering if the finished product would or not.

I wouldn't get any controller other than a DS3 from Sony, because use AA batteries and a DS3 is internally rechargable. They sell pink, blue, red, silver, and white in stores and you can order more colors from www.colorwarepc.com/c-19consoles.aspx

Also you can design your own skin for any color controller at www.uniqueskins.com
