Madden 08 review at IGN 7.7

Madden 08 review at IGN seems way off, graphics rated 6.5 (wtf), i have not played yet but that seems really low? I will wait and see before buying what others think!

Graphics ratings are that low because the frame rate is running a not so stable 30 fps for the PS3 version compared to the stable 60 fps of the 360.

EA still hasn't figured out how toefficiently usethe PS3 architecture.

play the game for yourself....don't make a decision based on reviews

if you think about it, madden 06 and 07 on the 360 were pure crap so be thankful we have a good madden game this year.

developers have to get used to the platform which is why they are lazy to develop for a new console. however, if they focus more on the ps3 than the 360, they will gain much more benefits and have more freedom to express their work.

It scored an ENTIRE 1 point lower simply because of the framerate, IGN is an xbox fanboy site though they always favor them. They say that the framerate actually catches a split second of a running back caught in midair before a tackle...first time i heard of this , even in madden 07. Ign is awful

ign isn't biased off one review. if you a want a biased website click on the link at the top left of your screen right now.

suck it up, its one bad review and it doesn't matter because all versions of madden will sell like MAD (except the wii one) but it will not sell consoles.

if Madden wasn't cranked out every year, the score would be higher.c0mplex

It's obvious 360 is the better version just because of the framerate. But 8.7 to 7.7 is ridiculous. They should rate the game for the PS3 with the 360 not in mind and not give their opinion on what the better version is. I hate when websites lobby for consoles just because they are popular and that is what ign does mostly with the 360.

The game probably won't be as bad as the doomsday review that was given on ign.

I would've scored the game just as low, if not lower.

I rented NCAA this year and was grossly disappointed. I knew Madden would be the same.

I think Madden is grossly overrated. I love football, but I hate Madden because it isn't a very good simulation. And if I had the choice, I would definitely get the Xbox 360 version.

First, fix the frame rates! Then, get the presentation down right. Presentation in Madden was better a decade ago! Only thing better now is the graphics. Finally, I want them to setup Online Leagues. IF they can do that, I'll happily drop $60 on the game. Until then...no love from me.

I bought the game today and played for an hour or two. I didn't see anything wrong with it except in between plays. It would have a frame rate drop for like half a second, which is really weird because it is flawless during game play, real smooth. Maybe they will fix this with an update. As far as 30fps vs. 60fps, who cares you'll never notice a difference unless you play the 3shi**y version. Frame rate was not even an issue until this gen, except for on computers. Besides steady frame rates are far better than faster frame rates with drops, which will really piss you off in the middle of a game (aka Gears of War).

Anyways, that my opinion. But really everyone should try the game for themselves and make their own conclusions. Be your own person.
