Well there is some good news, and some bad news...good news is they said it's the best madden in years, improved defensive AI, many new features...BAD NEWS.. PS3 version NOTICEABLY slower, and choppier than the 360!!! I'm pissed...could have been a great game for all of us madden lovers who own a PS3, but no, lazy people... final score XBOX 360: 9.0 PS3: 8.5. Yet another disapointment for us loyal ps3 ownersbruno420

I wonder if its as "noticable" as it was on NCAA 08? I really doubt the difference is so apparent that it makes any real difference in the quality of the game. I would have to assume if it was as bad as you have played it out to be then the scores would have been a lot further apart then .5

wow, 9.0 and 8.5?? it hasnt been that high in awhile. EA definitely fixed last year's problems. here's how i see it, dont play the 360 version and you wont see a difference between 360 and ps3 version lol :PScreamin_EaGLes

Yeah I guess if you don't play the 360 version you won't see difference, but my bro has 360 and also loves madden, so that sucks.... I guess my point is that we got stuck with yet another inferior version of a multi platform game.. pisses me off!!!

Its going to go just like the NCAA 08 reviews went...The only difference between the two games is the Frame rate, they will say that the 360 version runs smoother and the animations look smoother and that the game runs faster. Thats it.

Doesn't make it inferior. You act as if it is life and death. The change in fps does not change the game that much, the gameplay will still be the same, and the game will probably be good.

Isn't that what happened with Madden 07?

Madden 07 both consoles ran at 30FPS and looked and played nearly identical to one another. In fact I believe the PS3 version had more gang tackles and so on...little random things like that separated the two. Now the only difference is 30FPS.

Well if your talking to me I...I have NCAA 08. Sure it seems to run smoother on the 360 but I didnt notice anything that made it seem to be so superior that it made the PS3 version look terrible. Its really not that big a deal unless your playing both of them side by side and watching the games and actually looking for a difference.

And to all others out there... Why is everyone appear to be set with 1up's review of this game? 1up doesn't have enough credibility for me to want to run out and get the game when it's released. So the fact that it scored high at the moment means nothing. If GS, IGN, and other gaming critics gives out at least 8.5 average, then maybe 1up's review will be somewhat authentic.

It sucks that the PS3 version is only 30 FPS, when the console has more than enough power to handle it (Other devs made 60fps games). But you know what, it doesn't matter because you all will buy it anyway so why should EA even care to crank it up to 60 FPS? Why are you all complaining about it? If you are so pissed or upset, do something about it!! You have the power to do something about it. Have all PS3 owners not buy the game. They will take notice if there is a dent in their PS3 Madden sales. No petition needed! You just don't shell out $60 and pass that along. Can you imagine all of the retail stores (i.e. Gamestop) in panic because all those pre-orders weren't honored? You would send a loud message to EA Triburon that enough is enough...

You all will continue to complain and go out to get the game next week. And all of the arguments, all of the threads that will be created next week by gamers who are outraged,will be a waste of space.... I'm done!

Ha ha, look who's upset. Bruno, I'm just as pissed as you are about the frame rate issue (which was already confirmed a while back)but I won't complain.I can do something about it. You can do something about it.All of us PS3 owners can do something about it. EA wants your $60. Are you going to give in and get the game anyway? Maybe you will Bruno, and that is why you are all defensive. If you all holdout (which I know won't happen), you will send a clear and loud message to them. It's that simple. Learn to accept the fact that as long as you pay the $60 for your PS3 version, EA won't give two craps about your complaints.

Of course you will.... but it is ok if you aren't one to gripe about the frame rate issue. Enjoy it.

8.5 is a good score. i knew from watching vids of madden 08 that it would be a good game. im picking it up regardless.RoYaL1990

The gameplay comparison video 1up has really showcases a huge difference between 30fps and 60fps. So us PS3 owners have been screwed over. mrvic87

The only way this will matter is if you play the 360 version. Just stay clear of that version and you wouldn't have anything to complain about.

EA Sports sucks and people only buy Madden because of the NFL license. Most of my friends will have it on 360 anyways so I'll just play it with them. I will NOT give EA $60 for this game.
