So I bought and downloaded all 3 story game pack DLCs for Mafia II off PSN yesterday. The first one I got (Betryal of Jimmy) installed correctly, but when I tried to install the 2nd pack (Jimmy's Vendetta) it kept reaching 14% then giving me error 80029564 constantly. I did some research and came up with these possible solutions.

1. Switch from a router/wireless connection to wired (done - still no go).

2. Don't perform the download in the background (will try this today, hope it works).

3. Restore the console's default settings (I hope I don't have to go that far).

My question is, assuming solution #2-3 doesn't work, how am I supposed to deal with this? I've heard that it's an internal RAM corruption issue when you download files over 300 MB and the console tries to compile it once fully downloaded, I dunno. I payed 30$ for the DLC and I'd hate to hear that the only clear way around this problem is to get a slim. I have an 80GB model bought back in mid 2008. And yeah, I know I should've gotten the director's cut, but I couldn't find it. I'm satisfied with paying the extra 30$ anywho because I have never cared for DLC before this game. It's so immersive.

Thanks in advance!

Problem solved. Looks like downloading the packs properly and NOT in the background is the solution with the highest success rate. Thankfully worked for me.

Just wanted to bump this for FYI purposes (and those who will most likely Google the common error).
