A fun poll to see what game gamers prefer over the other. Let's see who tops it off

Well Mafia isnt out... so...? But whatever happens, GTA has to come out on top. It has the most games, every single one has sold millions and every game revolutionises sandbox games somehow. Red Dead Redemption doesnt count because it's made by the same peopel AFTER GTA and everytime Rockstar create a game they learn more and more, so they get better and better (arguably, since San Andres is probably the best. But SOME things improve). So: GTA > Red Dead > Mafia since Mafia isnt out. And Mafia 1 is quality but old.

GTA games are my favourite games of all time. I love RDR and I am quite sure I will love Mafia 2. :P

Well if your basing it on the entire series, I say GTA hands down. Even though I enjoyed Red Dead Redemption way more then GTA 4 cause I love the old west theme and setting.

the gta series are great games, they made RED DEAD REDEMPTION, looking at mafia 2 it seems interesting, yet it too much similar to the rockstar games. personally i perfer red dead because it has a western theme to the game, while looking at the gta series it about life in the big city, and mafia takes you back into time so it has its own theme whcih is pretty cool and the western theme is awesome

Well RDR was the most refreshing, seeing as it is a sandbox game that hasn't really been done much, if at all. GTA revolutionized the sandbox genre though, and will forever have imitators. I enjoy RDR a lot more than GTA4, but comparing the GTA series as a whole, there is no competition. I haven't played the first Mafia, so who knows.

I tried the demo and Mafia looks like it could be a great game, but the graphics in the "open world" were notably worse than GTA or RDR on PS3, and it even included some pretty bad screen tearing!!!. Especially when you get in the car and drive. It just looked really rough, like a huge step down from the aforementioned games. The cutscenes looked great though. Supposedly this game is a different engine from the RAGE engine than GTA and RDR used, and those games had their own performance issues (being sub-HD on PS3 and some minor texture issues). One would have hoped if they were using a different engine they would get better performance, but it looks like it's a step backwards (at least on PS3) from if they had just used the RAGE engine to build the game. It was bad enough with the screen tearing (huge pet peeve for me) I think I'll just wait until whenever I can play this game on PC.
