MAG Beta Impressions

Well where do I start? MAGWAS one of my most anticipated games of this new year, until I played the Beta. I was so dissapointed, the game is mediocre visually, lackluster gameplay, and doesn't bring anything new to the FPS genre that all of us failthful PlayStation gamers hoped. 256 person multiplayer is not going to save me. I'd rather play RFoM multiplayer over this anyday. I will not be reccomending this game to anybody after the truth within was revealed.

Yea graphics arent that impressive by any means and with the teamwork, thats what was turning me off to this to begin with. Especially in this game where teamwork is just about necessary to win and also rewarded with more XP and the like. From what I can see people are still learning the game and complaining that its confusing so in general they dont have anything to offer on the side of strategy lol. I saw lots of people trying to heal with the gear you get to start the game with, obviously not knowing you need to spec 2 points into medic to get the kit to be able to heal others. So its gonna be a learning process as far as teamwork.

I was actually having a little bit of fun with it once I got past the graphical aspect and as im getting bored with MW2 I might give this game a shot after reviews.

I actually quite like it, the only way to succeed is to follow orders and play in a more tactical styles.

Warhawk, BattleField 1943, any other multiplayer-only game on PS3 > MAG.

All other FPS games > MAG.

love it, love it, love it. finally a console FPS that takes skill and smarts. a game where you actually have to aim!

lol. You don't have to aim unless you're a sniper. For machine guns the reticle has an aim assist.

And im loving it! I was way bored with MW2 and im enjoying alot MAG right now.

I love MAG when I'm able to join a game. I've tried over and over about 20 times now to get into a game, and it keeps logging me out because it "lost the connection to the server"

it was okay but with other fps on the market like mw2 and namely bad company 2 i cant see myself buying this

one thing that really bothers me are the guns. the game has a lot of potential but whenever i fire it feels like im shooting a BB gun. its not satisfying when i shoot and the battles feel slow. maybe after playing the bad company 2 beta my standards might have went up by a lot but guns by now should feel like real guns and not toy guns. but w/e thats just me.

I cannot see this game catching on and being able to support servers of 256 people. It is just a very bland shooter and more people =/= a better game. I will not be buying this game new or used.

I thought it was ok. Everything seemed pretty average, but i completely sucked at it going from MW2 to that lol. I couldn't kill anybody. It does seem like a cool game to have though to play with friends, but I'm not shelling out $60 for it. I'll wait for a price drop.

I like the great animations, like the assault rifles animations change with each different attachment, i know most TK are accidents from people coming coming from COD like what does this button do?!....oops, nevertheless my experience with the beta has been great, im level 15 know and i have squad leadership status

O and parachuting is fun weeeee!!!

I like it but Im deciding that im not going to buy it. I dont get money very easily so my money is going toward Bioshock 2 and BattlefieldBad company 2
