Main reason for buying MGS4 (POLL)

My friend is buying it and since millions of other gamers are getting it I might as well join the party.

i really wish that i had played these games before because i'm feeling a little behind and i wish i had $30 to go out and buy the essentials but i did manage to find a used copy of MGS2 for $7 at gamestop and plan on running through that pretty soon but i really want the essentials at this point

MGS series all have great story-lines.

For the story as well as the gameplay. The graphics are top notch too. Sad to see Snake die if it's true.potterpipi

Found a copy of MGS, played it, it was great. Borrowed MGS2 from a friend, it was great, now I am borrowing MGS3, I have PO but stoped playing it as someone told me it would ruin MGS3.

I want to know what happens next, so hopefully once MGS4 comes out I will have just finished PO plus!:)

What's PO?

I'm a big fan of the series and I become a fan of it mainly because of the story, this game is one of the best story telling ever.

Well, the hero dying has become VERY cliché in movies and games for a cheap "tearful" ending. I'm not saying he should or shouldn't die, I think Kojima knows his story better than we do, and I trust him to make the ending the best way. If he comes up with a good way for Snake to die that doesn't seem cheesy, then I'm fine with that. If the ending leaves us in doubt, I'm fine with that as well, if it's done well.

The thing we do know is, even if Snake lives, he doesn't have but a few more years to live anyway before he would probably die of old age, so yeah, some heroic death does seem somewhat inevitable. Or he may even live after his last mission, then the ending is about his death a few years later.
