I'll go with 9.1 million. It will sell 3 million units by the end of march and with MGS4 and Lair coming this summer, we should see the system around 6-7 million by fall and sell around 2 million units to close out the year.

I'm unsure what but I thought more about in the 6 to 8 million region.
You'll see more PS3s in homes than Xbox 360s(I meant comparing both a year of the two systems). I'd expect around 10-12 million by the end of the year(Japan will give the edge to the PS3 since the X360 is lagging horribly in JP), sometimes this whole 'sales figures' are overblown, because the PS3 is still on track to have 10-12 mill in a year which isn't bad at all.
I love this. Now all consoles are offically launched worldwide it's now down to playing the games and seeing what surprises await. : ) Should be a good year. I predict between 8-9 Million.
6million. Barely selling 100k a month in Japan even with Gundam Musou. Would be extremely lucky to even sell 2million there this year.
America. After the depressing Feb sales. Definitly not looking very strong either Again. Looks like another 2million.
And Europe's response in mix. Some places it is doing okay. Other places it is the black plague. My guess is another 2million.

If I stated the average...That would be about 1.2million for Japan. 100k per month times 12.
And the average for NA has been fluxing...Such as about 200k down to 130k. So the average would be about 1.5ish^^

Im gonna be honest and ill say that i think theyll sell about 6-8 million , i think that theyll do very good around christmas and the launch in europe today is helping a lot.

Seems a bit low for the 360. They are at what , about 10 million now and consider what the holidays will bring them worldwide. Also this new model 360 is one to watch out for with all of the potential trade-in sales.
well lets see its almost at 2 million now, only 9 months to go, summer usually not taht good of a time to be a gamer, so we really only have x-mas, 5 million at the most
Given that Sony's first party heavy hitters like Lair, Killzone 2, Warhawk, and Heavenly Sword haven't seen the light of day, plus third party games including exclusives (as of now) FF13 and MGS4 plus plenty of other multiplatform games (DMC4, Assassin's Creed, RE5, GTA4) are all likely to appear later this year than I suspect that sales will really start going up after the European lunch. I suspect there to be 8-10 million PS3 sold. It will be really close come this time next year especially after 360 sales die down from Halo3 (the only real system moving game for 360).

Maybe I'll bump that up to 15 million, but besides sales hikes, I think the 360 will start to slow down. The Wii will continue selling strong and I think will be the big winner next holiday season. The PS3 imo will continue to sell slowly and will start to speed up around the holidays, as it becomes more and more clear that Blu-Ray is becoming the next dominant media format.

It'll slow until the price drops to $299 for the premium and $200 for the core. Then it becomes a whole new ball game.
Well lets see. By Thanksgiving, I say we've got about 5.5 million sold worldwide. Now, the 360 was selling like crap until Gears of War. Lets assume MGS4 comes out around the same time in November. MGS4 *should* boost the PS3 sales by a longshot, just as Gears of War did. Lets say MGS4 gets great reviews, a standout commercial and good media (Just as Gears of War had) and I think MGS4 should move an extra... 2 million consoles. That sound fair? But lets keep in mind that MGS4 isn't the PS3's only good looking game. There are some promising looking games due out for Q4 or Q1 2008, so lets throw in an extra 2.5 million consoles. So I think by December 31st, the PS3 should have sold about 10 million consoles. How's that sound?
