[QUOTE="D_Znuhtz"] [QUOTE="stinkeyb"]i think that getting too excited will only make things worst like what happened in march and the whole Motorstorm thing, where the games we thought were going to AAA turn out to be just another game. I think if the Devs need more time should take it and stop putting dates out there messign with our heads. think about it, if they had waited to release motorstorm and just add the features that everybody has come to expect out of an arcade racer then it would have been better. even if they did that and not try to go the extra mile it would have been cool. Instead we got a ONE mode game with future updates for $60. They should of sold the game for lessBlitz1130
Motorstorm isn't just another game. It's a great game. Gamespot seems to be the only place reviewing it that gave it anything lower than 85%. I usually trust GS's reviews, but that one was weak. Don't listen to "MOTORSTORM  THAT GAME SUCKED GS GAVE IT 79 LMAO", they've never even seen it, let alone played it.
EGM/1UP gave the game at 7/7/9, but it was shane and it was a sony game.
But this game is the reason i wanna buy a ps3, that **** was fun at the kiosc
It really is a great game. There is nothing wrong with it. Even the "lack of modes" just feels like a reason they chose to attack it once you actually play the game. Completing all the tickets takes quite a while. It's better than linear racers where you have three courses. "Now, go through the same course.. but backwards! Then do the same course... with one detour! Now do the same course... as a time trial!" 7.9 is the type of score wannabe racers like NFS get. It really isn't fair. I bought the game, played it, thought whooo, this is fun. Then I went online, checked gamespot, saw the 7.9 and almost immediately liked it less. I shook it off, but those reviews really do affect you if you let them. The simple fact is that Motorstorm is great. Everything there is in place. Great graphics, physics, a very stable frame rate, lots of sick-looking unlockable vehicles, a well-realized tilt function, great course designs, high production values, free online, good music... I would have liked to see 2 player splitscreen, but thats really all I feel its missing. The online is great for MP anyway. I usually put a lot of faith in GS's reviews, in the PS2/Xbox era I could buy a game blind if GS gave it an 8+ and it was my genre of choice... now I'm being a lot more careful.
