So I pre-ordered this game to make sure I get Juggernaut. Now I go to the website and it says something like.. "Sorry, there are no more codes". I called Gamestop and they basically said they couldn't anticipate how many pre-orders they would get and that it was limited and that there is no monetary value so I'm basically screwed. I don't recall them saying that in any advertising for the game. Seems like false advertising to me. Also I thought I heard you can pay to download him so wouldn't that be monetary value? Please help. What should I do?
That would be cool. I admit I don't really know how things work and I'm doing this backwards as I don't even have the PS3 yet (next payday). Got the game first because I wanted to make sure to get Juggy ya know.

Well, knowing how ads work, somewhere on it in very, very tiny print it says 'while supplies lasy', but at the same time I'm not really surprised that the employee didn't give you the card with the instructions on it at the get go, seems to be pretty common.
The exact same thing happened to a friend of mine. After preordering he didn't pick the game up for a day or two, and then after that there was a whole day where the website was down. He called the store and they told him to just keep trying. After the website came back up he tried to get the code but by then it said that they were all out. To me this is total false advertising or even fraud, I really don't remember them saying anything about limited codes or anything.
To me the weirdest thing was, it's not like they were giving out tshirs or hats, or anything tangible. I couldn't wrap my head around why they would care how many people have an in-game code that costs them absolutely nothing. It dawned on me shortly later when I realized that they must have been planning on realeasing Juggernaut as payable DLC later, and maybe Microsoft balked when they found out how many preorders there were.
You had to pre-order the game and enter the receit 2 days before the release of the game to get the code, if you did not do any of this, this is why you're getting the shaft.
hearing stories like these only reinforces my belief in not pre-ordering games. Sorry to hear about the bs propaganda GS gave you but you really shouldnt be surprised by it. You're not the first and you sure as hell wont be the last.
yeah they didnt take my email @ the ebgames store whe i pre-ordered. when i went to pick it up they gave me this card that told me to put the email address in the website. i got the code the next day. eb didnt tell me anything. just will have to be more prepared next time.
I'm very happy to report I got hooked up with a code from someone who had received an extra one. Also, thanks for all the replys to this thread. I appreciate them all. I'm not a big gamer and have never pre-ordered a game but now I will be educated on this in the future so thanks again everyone.
