I know that this has been asked before, but not for Vita. I have always been a fan of Mortal Kombat, but I feel like changing it up. Which one do you guys think is better?

BlazBlue.famicommander

I think I might get that later when the price comes down. I just kind of like having a solid retail game instead of digital.

I'd get MK for a console instead, if you have either one.

mortal kombat doesnt feel like an MK game to me...the only thing the same is some of the moves and fatalities....it plays really different... if it was a different game id really like it but as a MK game i was very upset and sold it.

so... if your looking for a good fighting game then yea i recommend it but as a MK game...no

marvelvscapcom3 is great but very cheap... you will get xd a lot at first.

I purchased both as a person that hasn't played a fighting game in years, and cannot for the life of me get into MvC. It may have to do with the presentation I don't enjoy, but most of it is due to the fighting system. Normally I like the idea of fast fighting and aerial combat, but the fighting system is too hard for me to get a grasp on. Mortal Kombat is a little easier for me in that regard, and the content available is staggering. Equally unbelievable is the size of the game itself; clocking in at 3 GBs.

I'd have to say UMvC3 is the deeper fighting game, but the content is pretty slim and the tutorials... Well, let's just say there aren't any. I haven't played MK, but I can tell you that Marvel vs. Capcom is extremely difficult to get into, and even harder to become good at. It's great for playing with friends though.

I ordered Mortal Kombat. I was reading all of the messages and saw that almost everybody said MK. I also looked at the DLC for Marvel vs Capcom, and saw that you have to buy half of the characters for the game (including Spiderman...). Now I just have to wait for it to ship :)

Thanks everybody!

That's what I thought at first, considering the packs are so freaking expensive. But they're just alternate costumes, which is almost a more heinous idea considering the price.... So I believe you only have to purchase 2 characters extra characters.

There are a couple of DLC characters, but not many. My guess is that you were looking at the DLC for the original Marvel vs. Capcom, rather than the much-improved Ultimate version of the game. Spiderman is included in the game. Sure, it's infamous for the on-card DLC, but it's still got 48 characters(if I recall). Anyway, you probably made the right choice, though UMvC3 is the winner for graphics by a large margin.

Then I might get Marvel vs. Capcom eventually. I still feel like I made the right choice with MK. I've been playing MK since the beginning and feel like this is going to be an amazing reboot (mostly for the 2D format coming back in MK).

I like your avatar, sir. Noob Saibot, Scorpian, and Reptile have always been my favorite MK characters. Once the game get's here, I'll start practicing a Noob and Reptile duo haha.
