Mass Effect is going Multiplat!!!

Personally, I'm happy...I love Bioware games...I haven't played the first one, but will make sure I do before the sequel is released (on PC of course). Hopefully one of the multiplat skus includes the PS3, but time will tell. What's your thoughts about it?

When EA annouced they bought Bioware, i expected a PS3 relase of Mass Effec t( Be it 1 or 2 )

I very much doubt that EA will make the 360/PC verions of MA2 come first, than the PS3 version, due to the economy. Plus MOST multiplatform games are equal, or close to equal on both systems now, i trust Bioware will do a good job

I'd hope they don't pull a Bioshock and release it at a full price, seeing as I could buy it for $20 on my computer... $30-40 would be reasonable.

Thats great that Mass Effect 2 will be going multi-plat but I swear I've read somewhere that ME2 story is somewhat dependent on the decisions the player has made in the first Mass Effect (i.e. it reads your save file from the first game). If this is so, does that mean the first Mass Effect will be out before Mass Effect 2? Anyone know? Achaean728

I would like to know this as well, I have a good amount of time invested into the 360 version. Hopefully Bioware can clear all of this up sometime soon.

Mass Effect is the game I want ported the most. I will be really happy if we get Mass Effect 2 and really really happy if EA ported the first game to ps3. EA has been very vague about Mass Effect 2's platform status and I think it is because they have been sending out feelers to see how much demand there is for Mass Effect on ps3 and I think there is good demand for the franchise to come to ps3 thus why this rumor just refuses to die. Bioware I think said that they could do Mass Effect for Ps3 but weren't; however, now that EA is at the helm and Dragon Age is coming to ps3 I see no reason why ME can't come to ps3 unless there are contract limitations but I dont think there are as EA owns the Ip not MS
