Sweet. Now just give PS3 (not Mobile) owners the HD port of the first two games, Rockstar, and we'll be all set.

We're supposed to see a a new trailer next week. Can't wait.

Well have you seen some of the screenshots? Also since when did Max payne use a cover system? It's just another franchise that's been updated to "please" the modern day masses.

I feel this game is a little too late. Mushroomwig hit the nail on the head with the cover system and screenshots. I loved the previous two though. I'll wait and see if any new information comes out that changes my opinion.

I'll admit this will be a "wait-and-see" title for me but don't forget,

- James McCaffrey is returning for not only voice acting but motion capture as well

- no regenerating health. Instead, Max will still pop pills for health like the original two

- comic style cutscenes will return

- cover system will most likely be optional instead of mandatory since bullet time is still here, and lastly

- James friggin' McCaffrey is returning.

Some issues I still have are, why is Max Payne bald (apparently it's supposed to take place over a large span of time)? Why is he in Brazil? Will they be able to capture the noir that Sam Lake did? Especially the dialogue. Very important feature.

I'm not sure about the comic style cutscenes. I haven't seen any evidence online of them using that. I think I could like the multiplayer addition, but I feel that it will take away from the single player experience. This game already has enough strikes against it: No Sam Lake, change of character and scenery, long wait for release, etc... I'm not knocking it, Rockstar can obviously deliver. However, in their games, they didn't have to deal with sequels. Example: Red Dead Redemption, LA Noire, and even GTA. There were no games made before that starred Cole, John Marston, Tommy, or Niko. Therefore, fans had no expectations on what to expect with these characters. Also, since these games were new, Rockstar was free to put in whatever story they wished. There was no picking up where the last game left off. You didn't have to play as Cole during the war or Marston during his gang years. However, with Max Payne, many people are already familiar with this character and the story it went through. I just don't know if Rockstar can handle this sequel. I'm not counting them out, but Sam Lake set the bar real high in Max Payne games.

Pretty much this. I'm a huge fan of 1 and 2, but a lot of what I'm seeing isn't giving me a solid opinion one way or another. If I'm not mistaken, there hasn't been any gameplay shown, which I find a little concerning. How does it compare to the originals? Is it really "modernized" to the point that it won't feel like a Max Payne game? Definitely need some footage. :?
