Max Payne 3 WTF?

I had that same problem with the AK. I'm sure you know this already, but shooting in 2-3 round bursts will help. I experimented with some loadouts last night, the M92F beretta and Mac10 go nicely together, up close you can kill people almost instantly. I've actually switched from the AK being my main weapon to the Mini 30, this things owns at medium/long range, and I've noticed my kills go up.

Most multiplayer games are garbage, at least MP3s single player is great.

I am trying so hard to like this game. SP is excellent but I like to get into MP for my money's worth. With that in mind, WHAT THE **** is it with riddling someone with a full clip, only for them to turn around and take you out with one bullet?! It's absolutely crazy and happens at least 5-6 times per game. I know COD and BF3 have their hit detection issues but Christ the night this game takes the piss. Is there a legitimate reason for this that I do not know? Otherwise I can see poor Max being traded in whilst it still holds a little value. Thanks.Quagmau5

You're crazy, I'm generally a COD MP player because I like how people go down quick and I found this to be the case in Max Payne as well, don't know what you're talking about. I hate MP games where your enemies feel like bullet sponges and I think you're wrong about Max.

i'm sorry but just deal with it max payne is and always should of been a massive single player game alll i can say is they sold out for multiplayer, not all games should have it, and it just shows you with this game that they've not properly looked it through just to get sales.

I agree with the single player being excellent, however for me also the multiplayer has been excellent so far and I haven't encountered any of the problems. Definitely a contender for Rockstar's best multiplayer so far.

u can't be serious? i never played the 2nd but the original was one of my favorite shooters back in the day and i know for a fact it was atleast a 9 hour playthrough.lotusclown

Well if you were playing the PS2 version I can understand that. That version had so many load screens that go on for at least 20 seconds each. Also if your anything like me you probably spent more time pressing X on everything to see what it does than actually moving forward. :P

Sure it can take you 9 hours. It can take you 15 hours. Took me 6 personally.. I've seen speed runs of Max Payne 1 at around an hour.

Speed runners are insane though.. The 45 minute Deus Ex speed run took the guy almost a year of practice to get down.

Not true, Demon's Souls re defined what a MP game could be and play like, it's just sheer genius on FromSoftware's part. I would love to meet the individual who came up with the phenomenal idea and it's implementation.

well i'm offically done trying to argue this point, its like beating a dead horse.. doesn't help that i was already in a bad mood so any feelings i hurt i apologise, and with that i'll leave you'll to it.. lol

Ok... Well, sticking to the topic, it's all about loadouts. Some people might have body armour or helmets equipped, and their weapons might have the attachments that increase damage and accuracy. If you don't have armour then shotguns and the better rifles will most likely 1-shot you if you're close. Try making a few different classes with different weapons to see what works for you.

Whenever i'm playing, i use the Mini-30 with body armour on big maps (massive accuracy and damage, you can kill someone in about three body shots).

If it's a small map, like Branco headquarters, i go for double Uzi, John Woo style! Shootdodging into the middle of a firefight with dual Uzis blazing is great fun.
