You need a Memory Sick PRO DUO. 1GB would be enough and it's like 20 dollars

Yeah all you need is a memory stick pro duo. If you are just going to use it for game saves, get a 1gb, but if you are going to have alot of videos like me, get a 2gb, which I got for just $30.

SD is only one of several so call memory card standards. The PSP doesn't use those, but rather it uses one of Sony's own "standards" (as in only between Sony made devices), which is the Memory Stick Duo.

memory stick duo or memory stick pro duo is what you need for the PSP. the size GB you need... thats a different story. depends on what you're wanting to do with it. but just as long as its either of those two types of cards, you're fine.

I got a 1GB memory stick for $5 and 2GB for $30. Both are used. All you need is 1GB if you are just going to have game saves.

Yeah after I bought it I heard all the stuff about $30 4gb memory sticks, so I was really mad. But I dont think I'd ever use up 4gb, so it doesnt matter to me that much.

Pfft, I bought two 1 gig sticks about a year or two ago for $35 each! And that was a half-price sale!

For size...

If you want game saves only get the cheapest one you can find.

If you want music too get a 1 or 2 gig

If you want a lot of videos or to download a few games from the Playstation Store, go with a 4gig now that they have come down in price.

Me, I have a 2 gb, and am trying to decide if I get a 4 gb now or wait and see if the 8s come down in price further at Xmas time.

Coolyfett

Secure Digital:

It's a memory card format, like Memory Stick Duo. Only it's actually a lot more popular... almost all consumer level digital cameras use it (save for those made by Sony, Olympus, and older Fujis), and the Wii and even the PS3 (the version that has card slots) also support it.
