memory stick duo not detected

So yesterday my 4gb memory stick duo mysteriously stopped working. I was trying to transfer the valkyria 2 demo but the pc was acting weird, and it didn't detect most usb ports, so I formatted it. When I connected it again, it didn't detect the memory.

I've tried many things: psp, camera, pc card reader, and ps3. None detect THIS memory, but another 1gb one I have is detected by the psp, camera and pc.

This had happened already with the same memory, but I took it out, and then back in and it worked!

Does anyone have a weird tip to try and help me fix this? I heard something about putting the memory stick with a bit of cardboard or something like that.

I want to try and at least recover my data... I was close to beating dissidia... >< and my FFVII file has to start all over again! D:!

my sister got it for me from bestbuy, last year's black friday sale for 20 bucks I think. It's a blue sandisk one

Try formatting it with the PSP. If that doesn't work (or you tried it already) try formatting it with a PC. Laptops usually have slots for flash memory. I don't have any other ideas after that.

My Sandisk Memory Stick Duo isn't being detected at all, even when I plug it in through USB.
