Memory stick problems

I was trying to load a saved game on MGS:Portable Ops and it says that the memory stick failed to load the saved data. Does anyone know how to fix that? Thanks

OP, there are some issues:

- there's a possibility of your ms being fake

- gamesave loading errors occur when a game save is being used on a PSP that DIDN'T create the gamesave itself. certain games have this encryption implemented and there's no way around it

- with the particular game save you're using.....have you been able to load it just fine before the incident occured or is this your first time running into this problem?

I myself have an 8gb no brand memory stick (the black ones you can buy from china for 50 - 60$ on ebay, they say everything but SONY on them), and I must say, they work just as good as the sony brand. I download PS1 games from my PS3 onto it, as well as save all of my files to it.

Under the memory stick information, my system does say it is "unrecognized", but it works like a charm. Also, I should note that I'm using firmware 3.72 on a phat PSP. I have heard reports that these memory sticks do not work on the slims, but do not have a first hand account yet.
