Mercenaries 2 that bad?

I've never played the 2nd one, but I've also never seen a good review of it. The first one was great, so basically, what made the 2nd one so much worse?

1. If you really want to go by reviews, Mercenaries 2: World in Flames has a MetaScore of 72%, which makes it an 'average' game by MetaCritic's standards
2. The game sells for peanuts

Keeping that in mind, I think it's pretty safe to say you can't go wrong with the game. Besides, there's a demo on the PSN Store if I'm not mistaken. I, myself, am thinking about getting it.

like the above comment says the game is decent according to the review scores, i enjoyed it and mainly because i picked it up at gamestop for $3.59, it was a good deal for a decent game. if you can find it for less than $5 then i say go for it.

It's not a horrible game...its just one of those that I kept thinking to myself "Why am I playing this when there are so many awesome games in my backlog?" It really just felt like a waste of time in that regard.

If you've played everything else and are bored...give it a shot.

No it is not that bad, but it is not as good as the first. If you do pick it up, don't forget to turn off your PS3s network connection or this game will freeze!p99007

And I'm looking at it for $10, idk if that's too much or not for it. I've been looking for an open world game that's more about just fun rather than story.

In that case, have you considered Just Cause 2? That game is fun alright!
