Does anyone have any idea how Meryl is on Metal Gear 4, didn't she supposedly die on Shadow Mosis. It had to be Otacon or Meryl and Otacon is in MGS 2 so he oviously survived which means Meryl is dead. And how is Rex back. I can't wait to find out and at least take control of Rex. I hope so.
actually if you save meryl in mgs1 otacon doesnt die, the "meryl ending" is the true ending in the codec conversation after you escape the base, snake asks the colonel to send troops in to search for otacon, because he told snake he would stay behind
as for rex coming back, only time will tell, from the trailer, you can see that rex is severly damaged, so we can assume this is the rex model from mgs1

Think of it as the Meryl ending in MGS 1 being the one that actually happened as part of the MGS story.
So you would assume that Snake and Meryl would have kids after Shadow Mosis. I mean they were together at the end so they must have some kind of relationship. If they had a kid then that would make perfect sense for the next metal gear since they're both very combat oriented and their son couldbe the next Big Boss.

Yea, Otacon doesn't die in Meryl's ending. He elects to stay to tie up loose ends. Later during the codec call with the colonel, snake asks campbell to send men to look for Otacon.
