Hey my friend says hes been sending me loads of messages telling me to invite him so i checked and there was none, i went to my sent box and all the messages i have sent since last night arent there, and none of his shows up. So i tried deleteing messages but they wont delete, i read a message i had and pressed circle and it still shows as not being read.

 

Does anyone know what the problem is?

No hes not really inviting me, its just a normal message telling me to invite him into my party, but all the other messages ive sent havent worked, when i try to delete it brings up an error

Hmm, that is really weird and I have never heard of that happening. Are you by any chance using wireless? Because it may be a router issue dealling with Nat Types. Nat Type 1 means you are wired, Nat Type 2 is Wireless (No Restrictions/Good), and Nat Type 3 is Wireless (with restrictions/BAD). You may have that since bing a Nat Type 3 can limit communications.

Ive had my PS3 for almost a year now and never had any problems like this. Is there anything i can do to fix this?

The messges that you are trying to delete, did you by any chance "protect" them? That means that you sort of saved them from every being deleted unless you "unprotect" them. I am not sure what the buttons are but I think if you click triangle on the messege it should say something about protecting it. If you want just send me a messege saying "test" and I'll let you know if I got it. My PS ID is Rickles1631

No its not protected either, i think it might of been a problem when my friend turned my ps3 off yesterday right after i sent a message.

Ok I think its a corrupted file, probably the message i sent went he turned the playstation off. as a error comes up 80030002 which is a corrupted file. I think i may have to restore my ps3 completely, Anyone know how to back up the stuff i have on it?
