Listen guys, people said that the only difference between an 80gb ps3 and a 60gb ps3 is the EE chip. Instead it was replaced by another type. The model i got was exactly like the 40gb ps3. I cannot play ps2 games whatsoever, 2 usb ports, the cover that you can flip with a NORMAL ps3 is not even there. (So no SD slots!) and if there is anything else remind me. (What i listed were the bad aspects of a 40gb ps3, but for some reason, are found in my 80GB PS3!!!!!) Mine costed $400, and it gave me one that should've costed probably $300, because there are some that are the normal version of an 80gb ps3 and cost $400.

you got the new 80gb version. the original one with the slots and bc is $500 and comes with either motorstorm or metal gear solid 4, wich is the one i got. and no, there is no $300 ps3, the new 80gb one replaced the $400 40gb

ii was joking with the $300, but you cant play ps2 on it, so it should be $100 cheaper.

Backward Compatibility.

You get what you pay for... Use the 100 dollars that you saved and just buy a ps2 if you want to play those games.

Well buy one of those things where you can stack the coax into one input. Really though you should be using HDMI to get the best experience out of the PS3

To be honest I got the 60gb because I wanted BC. I've used it once in the last year. Once you start playing PS3 games there is no going back. Backwards compatibility is not a big deal. Enjoy

I have another thread asking about HDMI. Is it the only way to acutally get HD instead of SD? My tv says it's HD, but its settings are at SD and i cant change it. Btw, what is color matrix?

This is about your 5th thread on this, most of which have been exactly the same. You have worked out that you don't have a PS3 with BC, so why do you need to keep posting this? If you are expressing your displeasure, why keep doing it? Phone Sony and complain if you really want to, or take it back to the store and moan at them. There is nothing that we can do for you, except to warn you to do a bit of research next time.

What model TV have you got? Are you sure it's HD? To get HD use out of your PS3, you must use the HDMI cable or composite cables.

You mean COMPONENT cables don't you? Composite cables are the standard (Red, Yellow, & White) cables that come with any video equipment.
