Meta Gear dies with the Playstation

I think that Metal Gear Solid Rising won't be a hit, like Metal Gear Solid 4 was.

First off, you play as Raiden now, which I think will completely throw off the entire sneaky, CQC silent type of playing all the other MGS's we're popular for. Raiden was fun to play as every now and then in Metal Gear Online, but as a main character in a campaign? I doubt it.

Next, it will be released for the 360, not that I have any problems with the xBox, but the only MGS that has ever been on the xBox was Metal Gear Solid Substance, and so the xBox fans will not be used to the story and will complain about it. Also.. I wouldn't be suprised if xBox got all the DLC's month's before Playstation users, like every other game there is.. even though Playstation has been MGS fans for years now, I'm sure xBox will get served on a Silver Platter, as usual.

And lastly, how will the multiplayer work out? Will they have any? Will xBox be able to the Reward Point's and Konami ID's (if the multiplayer is anything like MGS4 Multiplayer)

Just a opinions/questions that I wanted to share about the upcoming Metal Gear Solid. In my opinion, because of the death of Big Boss, and Snake being too old for combat, I think they should have ended the series while it was on top, and do not think this one will be a success..

Can you make the font differnt it was hard to read. MGS has been on other systems and is was fine. It isn't owned by Sony

Yea I even had to squint on my 24" LCD with your size 5 DARK font.

I liked Raiden in MGS2 as well, and for me it made the Snake character seem more impressive.

As for MG Rising, I'll reserve my judgement till I see more.

^lol I don't see the human typhoon Raiden sneaking around anymore. And TC your logic is incredibly flawed, by being multiplat it is very likely that this game will commercially do far better than MGS4. I doubt anyone will really complain about playing as Raiden as its not a surprise this time, I have to agree with Linkbest, it sounds like your just crabby about it no longer being exclusive. it will be dumbed down cause the 360 cant handle it, mgs4 was impossible to make on the 360 which is why they didnt and which is why it got a 10 from many major reviewers, just like ff13 it will be a letdown because it will have ti be dumbed down to make ti work on the 360, raiden is a wuss

Raiden sucks..and is a complete let down to the whole Metal Gear series. He looks like he belongs in a Final Fantasy game with his bleach blonde hair. I don't have high hopes for Rising.

As long as Raiden isn't a whiny ass bi*** like he was in MGS2, then I think MGS Rising is going to be awesome. I'm also curious about how the gameplay is going to be, but I remember before they stated something about how it's not going to be based around stealth and stuff, and more about hack and slash? I might be TOTALLY wrong about that, but I think I read that about MGS Rising not having "Tactical Espionage" in it's title like the other MGS games, and it had lightning based action or something instead. But hopefully we'll see at E3 this year!!

Screw Rising. I'm still waiting for Konami to give us a trophy patch for MGS4. Stop teasing us damnit!

i'm very opne-minded for new ideas. MGS Rising though isn't considered as a true MGS series because of its Lighting Bolt Action something but i think it's gonna be great. But i'm more hyped for MGS peace walker on the PSP. ^_^

He is a freakin cyborg ninja! He doesnt need to sneak around, he just quickly kills everyone he see's before they notice, in a fast-paced cyborg'y blur.

This game will be a spin-off, it wont be the same as the past metal gear games, that im pretty sure of, but as long as it doesnt suck, i dont really care. I dont play spin-off games.
