Metacritic Review of R2 thus far.

Not to be confused with my other thread that was locked, this is a thread dedicated to the review(s) thus far for R2.

We're at an average of 90%...still looking good...we were at 92, but Gamepro (80,) put us down a notch.

I know a lot of you don't care about reviews, but I always enjoy reading multiple opinions...

I NEVER listen to user scores...lots of people out there to discredit games. There should be a way to validate serial codes or something to prove that you at least have the game or at the VERY least rented it.

i don't pay attention to other people's opinions meaning i could careless what rating a game gets. I only play what interests me.

Just by comparison, Gears 2 user score was at 3.5 last time I checked - absolutely ridiculous and horrific. :|

Yeah, I wonder how many of them have actually played the damn game to even score it :roll:

Reminds me of a dumb kid that batantly admited he gave MGS4 a 1, just because he was a fanboy from you know what, and he wanted the overall score to drop down so it wouldn't be above Failo 3.

1up gave R2 a B+ so in that link why does it say 1up gave it an 83. isn't b+ like 87-89?pandoradrive

They use their own way of converting letter grades into numbers which involves the actual content of the review.

Seriously the way that Metacritic converts 1up scores is completely wrong. A B+ should be somewhere between 87-91 not an 83jyoung312

what i dont get is why people quote metacritic averages. Ok, you use the site to see INDIVIDUAL reviews, but the averaging is DEEPLY flawed. Just like how 'XBOX 360 fanboy' gave gears 2 a straight 10 and that's included in the average and there is no PS3 equivalent. Thats just one example. Also, how on LBP there is only one review under 9 from the most random website on the internet. I dont even think it has anything to do with gaming.

It's not a flat-out average - it's weighted based on the quality of the site/magazine.

Yes...metacritic is a weighted average...meaning the IGN would have more weight then say "bill and bob's zaney gaming site"

yep...Gameinformer put it at 85...:D...keep em coming...this is where the fun starts. Looking forward to Gamespots. It could either be an 8.0 or they might shock the world and be in close contention with IGN...
