Dont listen to that other guy. those are good, I really like the killzone one. You do have alot of room for improvement though but keep at it because you can obviously draw.

Not bad. If one or both of you are really into art, you should take some time and practice things like anatomy, proportion and gesture. In particular gesture, as the poses that characters are making in these images are a bit stiff. A gesture drawing is just a quick movement study, nothing finished, just quick sketching to loosen yourself up as well as get a feel for path of action and flow.

Keep at it guys.

Pretty good man. But heres the deal. art is dead. I am a graphic design student at SCSU and to be quite honest art is just a bunch of hippies and morons trying to get a living doing nothing. I like some art now, (graffiti, Shepard Fairey, Banksy, etc.) but to me most of it is absolutely stupid and some peoples justifications for not utilizing "technical skill" are ludicrous. For instance just because one could draw a perfect photo realistic representation of Robert De Niro doesnt make them a great artist today. I hate that, but alas the tastes of the world have changed.

Anyways my best advice, do not ever try and make a career out of art, you will end up broke depressed and maybe without an ear. No matter how good you are some people are just rediculous, and art in museums or art nueve (sp?) is a bunch of bland crap that is dictated by rich people with no taste. Post modernism is a biatch. Keep up the good work dude and you will get better. Those look like my sketches from when I was about 8 and I just kept doing it. Proportions are especially good, just work on the shading!

I'm sorry your experience has been so negative. Mine, however, has not and I encourage those with the talent and desire to become artists to continue following that goal. I never stopped and it's worked well for me, it can for you too if you have good business sense and the skill itself. Then again, it's entirely possible I'm one of these "ridiculous" people who do nothing all day but somehow manage to earn a living. I guess only time will tell, eh?

Anyway, if this is just a hobby, fine, have fun,but if it's a goal for any of you, than you should pursue it fully or not at all. Anything else would be a waste of your time.

well thats just great. that's just ****** great. way to boost someone's confidence, you jerk. drawing isn't about being a master at the craft it's about expressing yourself and enjoying it. i love drawing but i'm never going to be brilliant at it.

shabie12si - i like your killzone drawing, it has an artistic roughness about it (that's a complement, even though it doesn't sound like it) if your looking for some CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, then i would agree with what some of the others have been saying, you need to work on your figures a bit. i found a great web page a few years ago called bakaneko. it gives you a blow by blow acount on how to buildup a body skeleton and muscle structure but shows you in an easy-to-learn way.

ok... so if you "can draw"... post a pencil drawing in this. a scanned one, so we can easily tell it is real. you say you can draw, but i bet money i can outdraw you easily....
