Metal Gear or Grand Theft?

Sorry, everybody is entitled to their opinion, but wow. Even if you don't like GTA, that doesn't mean the game sucks. Kind of like me with Call of Duty 4. I don't care to play it, but I recognize that it's a great game, and I can understand why so many people like it. It just so happens that it's not my cup of tea.

As for your "either/or", I choose GTAIV. In fact, I choose GTAIV over every game out, and coming out.

EDIT: To be clear, I'm also buying MGS4. I'm sure it will be awesome.

GTAIV is not for me, but I wouldn't go as far as to say it will suck. I'm all about MGS4....can't wait for it!!

MGS4 for me.

I've grown tired of trying to get good at playing any of the GTA's I've played through out the years. I don't think GTA 4 will suck though. I respect the franchise and understand what makes it appealing for some, but it's not my cup of tea.

why does everybody have to compare these games? they couldnt be more different.

Like most people, im far more excited to play GTA4, but i will def pick up MGS4 and im sure i wont be disappointed

your avatar kinda makes you a little biased tho eh? you say GTA4 is limited in features,,, but what cant you do in a GTA game,, or better yet, what can you do in a MGS game (other than watch CGI videos more than actual gameplay) that you cant do in GTA?

Im definately going to be getting both, but really, we all know that MGS4 is #1......

cars running out of gas sounds awesome imo.. adds a little more realism and danger

id pick grand theft for the replay value ill just read online to see what happens to snake

actually thats a cool feature i loved it in Mafia. but its not in GTA 4 please get ur facts straight b4 u post. and 2 you can't compare 2 different types of games. l its like sayin Halo or Tetris

Easily. Resistance 2 is very, very high on my list, but nothing comes close to GTAIV.

I personally think these are two of the best games coming out this year, so both are must haves, but I chose MGS4, simply because it's just more my type of game. The storyline, play mechanics, and this is Snake's last mission. You know it'll be going out with a bang. I just can't wait for that.JCMac120

Are you serious? They run out of gas...That is so LAME! Wow things just keep sounding worse and worse.

I mean, according to an early review(not too credible but he still played it) rampages are way harder, the "gas", having to actually hotwire cars, crouching to snipe better, and having to stop at red rights. Seriously, realism can only be fun to a certain extent.I have I hopes but this game is probably going to be too real for its own good. *sigh*

OK just so we're clear, the only reason I'm picking GTA4 is because it's gonna be released first. LOL :lol:

MGS has got the story I love so much; GTA allows me to be the baddest that I can be in the comfort of my living room. But I'm getting them both no matter what.

If u like realistic and tactical Action choose Metal Gear but if u want fun and exciting game then i suggest Grand Theft Auto..

Whoa, wut the heck? i didnt know about the sniping part or the red light part. Dang, like you said, the more i hear about it the more i dont like it. Ugh, this makes me sick to my stomach. Anyway, who here has got the beta? when i heard about the Limited Edition version of MGS4, i quickly canceled my preorder for the regular one. Limited Edition looks awesome!!!

Just Play and Buy Both..
