do you think MGS4 will be better than the other mgs games?
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Yes. They've only gotten better over the years! Don't see why this one wouldn't continue that trend, especially if Kojima really wants to make this the last MGS game.Â
Which I honestly do not think this is the last one. I have a theory on the plot, which I won't go into, unless you are interested in my theory, which then you can PM me.
It has to because it's the last of it's kind, but Kojima did state that if it sells very well and if people want another metal gear he might make another one. I wonder will it be a prequal, if it happens that'll kick ass. The story suppose to end at part 4 but that doesn't rule out prequals.
Kojima has always delivered, most of his Metal Gear game scroll 9 and over.
Part 1 - sneaking
Part 2 - iron sight
part 3 - camo sneaking
part 4 - octo camo and that little robot, psychological battle.
It has to deliver.
UT3 will kick ass but its a different genre.Â
In some ways MGS2 was better than MGS3 and vice versa. MGS4 should outshine the rest though seeing as the major system jump will allow him to do things he only dreamed of years back. Also considering its his final mission at least with Solid Snake I think it will be his best efforts yet.
At least we do know these obvious things will be better.
The list could really go on, but one things for sure this game will be the ****
I don't really care if it's the last MGS game, I just hope it isn't Kojima's last game, and I hope he has tons more (Which he will). I own every single one of Kojima's games :P He's another one of those developers you can rely on to make a great game everytime (More or less).
But I really did not like MGS3 for the fact that... Before MGS3 no one really payed as much attention to the metal gear series. For years I was trying to get my friends to play it and they wouldn't. It was quite disappointing- but once MGS3 hit... That's all I heard! Best game evaaaarr!!!11!11!!1one!1!!one. Then I always have to respond with "You know I was playing the game over 10 years before you were?"
Then they always talk about to me- how the games great. I hate when people finally figure something you've been doing forever is great, and don't be quiet about it (because you already know how it works). Besides that, the only thing I did not like MGS3 for is that it was less espionage (I didn't think outdoor espionage worked that well. Especially since a good majority of the time your not anywhere near soliders.)... MGS2 I loved, I enjoyed that tactical sneak aspect of it- I kinda wished it had camoflague... But after playing through MGS3 on European Extreme, and I went back to MGS2 to play it through European Extreme- the AI is so much dumbed down. You can easily run up- full sprint- to a guy and snap is neck. (I played through European extreme trying to not use any guns/not get seen where I could. AKA: Bosses you kinda gotta use weapons). In MGS3 it had some sort of noise meter for the AI.
So, whoever said MGS2 beat MGS3 in some aspects, and MGS3 beat MGS2... I totally concur. Because you know, MGS3 had young ocelot :P
MGS1 was a c l a s s i c (Why is c l a s s i c blurted on these forums?) though, I don't think I've laughed so hard in awhile (I enjoy some of the jokes in it). I also think that MGS1 had the most immersive storyline.
I played all three and all three had a scene where snake gets captured.Although he gets free and continues his mission.psextreme
and im not looking forward to seeing old naked snake's bare ass.
The game is going to improve over the last games, that are amazing too. I dont think you will have to eat anymore food though :D.
There is also an extra feature no one mentioned and its that almost every time you play it it will be different, depending on what you do, who do you aling to and so on.Â
where the hell is the MGS4 news? I'm dying over here.WildTurkey00
E3 dude. But anyway, I think that MGS2 really set the bar for MGS games. MGS3 couldn't top it, and MPO almost got to that level. I think that MGS4 will top it, and that's why I'm excited.

Amen. I was trying to get my friends into Metal Gear for years and then the third comes out and they go ape-s*** over it. But oh well, people are strange...Â

- More Types of enemies

Kojima is awesome. and the 3rd one was perfect. except he skipped some story elements on alot of the bosses. Like in MGS2 everything had a story, but some fans complained. I sure wasn't hope he add more story.
Also i think the story for MGS4 will be so twisted and suprising Ill faint :PÂ
