Please only read if you beat the game

I'm at Act 4, and I loved the begining of the game, but it started to piss me off at the end of Act 3 becasue I don't care to walk around a jungle following footprints. Then Act 4 came. Who thought it could get worse. It first starts off playing the original metal gear solid, which I don't feel like spending 5-10 minutes doing that, since I bought the 4th one for a reason. Then I figure out that I'm only fighting robots the whole time. I'm not sure what the appeal of walking around an empty hangar and avoiding one robot is.

Will I ever get to stalk down a human and knock him out in MGS4, or should I cut my losses and replay act 1 and 2 over and over again.

Wow, even I don't really like the game and what what you said makes no sense. I think I'm going to play the parts you don't like right now.

Act 1 and 2 are the best ones. The End acts are kind of story driven. Also if your playing no kills, you can open up on the robots because they don't count. I think thats the point. I played the first ones over and over again, lol, on hard.

Really, finding your way through the entire facility without being spotted is mad fun. It is much more than just "sneaking past a robot", there like 100 in each room, perfect lead up to the crying wolf boss battle.

If you honestly hated the first part of Act 4, you need to get rid of the game. That was one of the best parts. Eventually you leave that part of the base, and you fight Crying Wolf/Frogs. I mean, MGS4 brought a lot of diversity given what you'd expect, and you are complaining? Thats like saying Ocarina of Time wasn't good enough.

No, I never played the first MGS. I've only played MGS 2: SOL and this one. I loved the second one. Espcially the first part on the ship, I loved sneaking around there taking all the guards out. I guess I just don't enjoy the sneaking part of this act. I got all the way to the Crying Wolf battle, and I beat it, quit, and forgot to save. Now i have to play the act from the begining.

I just don't see the appeal of the robots. TO sci-fi and nerdish to me

MGS has always had those sorts of things.

I mean, Metal Gears in most cases are some sort of bipedal mech.
I dunno what you where expecting

SPOILER.......sadly act 1 and 2 game you the oppertunity to sneak or fight, act 3 was mainly sneak, act 4 was mainly robots, you only came across the people when fighting the boss, she had back up lol. Act 5, red aleart straight away, lots of gun fights, boss, lots of machines, then Liquid. I enjoyed the game, but it was more machine than people closer to the end. Play the entire game, you might enjoy the cqc against liquid.

After a certain point, soldiers are just too easy, Snake needs some more challenging enemies. :)

There are some Gecko and the Metal Gears. The number of mechs go with the story. Liquid/Ocelot is running a PMC group, and you know he will have Metal Gears. On top of that, Metal Gear has always been a quirky, odd game with humor and writing geared more towards more core core gamers and narrative enthusiasts. It just seems like MGS4 isn't for you man.

Geez, just don't play the game. MGS4 is meant to finish the story anyways.

Personally, I loved Act 4. Sure, going after "humans" is great. But those Gekkos (and Dwarf) proved an interesting challenge. Especially when you're not stacked with weapons with a bandana. They're harder to notice and their vision is superior compared to the human enemies. They also come in swarms and can call in "a big brother" in certain areas. Besides, Shadow Moses was scrapped and forgotten nine years ago (in the game). Did you really expect anybody to be around?

Considering the fact you're playing Metal Gear, I would assume you don't have a short attention span. Because if you did, why would you be playing Metal Gear of all games?

Have you taken a look at the world around you lately? Are you even aware of the types of things current militaries are using and contractors are making?

If they had the capital and the means to do so, they could probably start constructing a real life Metal Gear REX right now. The Rail Gun alone has done it's starting test phases. Not to mention other parts that are currently available.

MGS4 takes place around 2014. Do the math.

Well of course I don't have a short attention span, or I wouldn't be playing a sneaking game. I suppose MGS isn't exactly my cup of tea, sure its hell of alot of fun, but I don't enjoy the story that much ( i skip every cut scene, just ike I did in MGS2). I just enjoy the sneaking around and taking out every enemy I can without getting caught.

I suppose thats why I enjoy splinter cell so much.

You're rather impatient eh?

Sorry, but the choice's up to you.

Also, wrong forum. MGS4 has it's own forum.

Especially in a world like MGS where warfare is the bases of the global economy and technology is everything, im not surprised Metal Gears exist

You can't bad mouth MGS4 here, the fanboys will kill you! Hahaha, yeah Act 4 kind of sucks, although the boss fight at the end is good. Keep playing though, Act 5 is back to fighting humans. Although I completely agree, it get's kind of boring in the middle.
