Just read an interesting little tidbit about the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 5. Apparently there is talk of it being a prequel with Big Boss as the protagonist. Read the source here http://www.gamingfront.net/story-25-Metal-Gear-Prequel.html So what do you guys think of this? Good idea, bad idea?
I think it will before MGS3 cause portable ops is about Big Boss after MGS3. Maybe it will be multi mission's showing how Big Boss came to become Naked Snake.
I doubt that it will be a prequel with Big boss as the protagonist. Because the story wouldn't just make sense. He was featured in the PSP games as the main character, but in the MGS storyline it won't make sense. Since everything was explained in MGS4, it wouldn't do them too much good to make a game where he is a protagonist in anything other than the portable ops games. Being that [spoiler] he was asleep during the timeframe of MGS2 and MGS4 until the end where he finished the story [/spoiler] I don't see how that would do them any good. They should just make a movie, and a good one.
i think he say it was the last in the series, and he is moving on to other games, maybe i will come back to MGS but i don't know
What i will like to see is, the company picking up Zone of Enders again, For those who had play this on ps2 will know what i mean. there was a leak that they are making ZOE3 last year or something but havn't heard any thing yet
If MGS5 was a remake of MG1 and MGS6 was a remake of MG2 I would be happy. I would also be happy with a brand new Big Boss type of game, but since the whole Patriots story is over it would be kind of hard to continue along the same lines. Oh well, I'm sure whatever Kojima makes will be amazing.

No, Zero gave him the code name Naked Snake at the beginning of MGS3, and there was a reason why he got it. He didn't have that code name before MGS3.

They discover that not all of the patriots were killed, patriots are rised again with another name, someone like Snake is needed and they clone Solid Snake [/spoiler]
yeah, i enjoyed mgs3's more simplified and focused storyline. i like the historical theme too. the modern mgs games are seriously convoluted and mgs3 was probably the best story so far. i would like to see a prequel very much

THATS INSANE DUDE, It'd mean remaking the exact same plot line again o_o, in other words milking the Mgs series!
