Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Getting PSP Bundle in Japan [UPDATE with Pics]

Earlier this week, word leaked from the upcoming issue of Japanese game mag Famitsu that PSP stealth game Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will be getting a PSP bundle. But leaked Famitsu images are usually crap.

Famitsu.com images are much better.

As Kotaku posted previously, the game will be getting a special camouflage PSP when the game is released in Japan on March 18.

The bundle also comes with a pouch, a cleaning cloth and a strap as well as a copy of the game. Yours for ¥26,980 (US$296).

Priced at ¥36,980 (US$406), there is also be a Limited Edition bundle, complete with a PSP stand, dog tags and a booklet.

Since the game takes place in 1974, this limited pack will be limited to only 1,974 numbered units. Geddit? Compare with the last PSP bundle Kojima Productions released for Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops.

And imagine the next Metal Gear Solid PSP bundle. Bet it will be camo. Ya think?

Let's hope we will get that too...It will really boost the sales of both the platform and the game...

To be honest ,i don't really like the whole"camouflaged PSP" idea...Imagine playing with it on the bus ? It will be kinda weird...Anyway , as i said , let's hope it 'll come to EU/US. What i don't think willcome, are the "1974 specalunits". Konami will make them stay in Japan , i guess. Fans will bedefinitelypleased.

I really hate Sony. This makes I think, Twenty-two different PSPs I want. Twenty-two of the same system! Why must you keep making awesome looking systems? I swear, if I win the lottery, I'm making a show room specifically to hold all of the PSPs I'd buy.

Any word on whether or not this bundle is coming stateside?

The newer camoflauge PSP looks a lot better than the one that came with the Portable Ops bundle.
