Considering that announced dates are sometimes different than release dates, and that, at least going by that list, it'll be releasing in Australia first, I highly doubt that's accurate.
yea i think it is because of dumb xbox360. They need to keep the metal gear games to PS3.

Ugh, no. Metal Gear didn't begin on the Playstation platform and it has never really been exclusive to it, even during the PS2-era, because we saw MGS1 and MGS2 remade for Gamecube in the form of Twin Snakes, and then we also saw MGS2: Substance released for Xbox. Blaming a system because of console allegiance? Come on, bro. Get every system and enjoy the best of all worlds, like me.
And also, it's a bunch of TBA. We haven't even seen a single screen for this game. It's not being rushed. Sit down and just relax, fella's.

You have to admit its a bad move going multiplatform. MGS Rising could be twice as long if it was only fitted onto a Blu Ray Disc[QUOTE="NakedSnake-1993"]

You have to admit its a bad move going multiplatform. MGS Rising could be twice as long if it was only fitted onto a Blu Ray DiscNot really true at all. They could just put the game on multiple discs for 360 if they wanted to make it that long. The format plays no role in how long a game is. Look at Heavenly Sword for example. It's like 5 hours long. Usually the reason a game like MGS4 is so big on Blu-ray in because everything was left uncompressed. They could compress everything down for 360 and fit it on one disc, most likely. And if they couldn't, then they could just do what the 40-60 hour games like Lost Odyssey, Star Ocean 4, etc did, which is just put it on 2 or more discs. As a hardcore gamer, Blu-ray doesn't mean much to me and hasn't really done anything to wow me in video games. As an avid movie collector, though, I appreciate it being built in the PS3.

Yeah good point. Defiance looks excellent in glorious HDBoth systems output at native 720p and upscale at 1080p for games, and the visual fidelity for both is about equal, with a slight edge with titles like Uncharted 2 or Killzone 2, so both should be pretty close and detailed in the end. Blu-ray will play no role, most likely. This is an action game in the vein of Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden, or God of War, so I'm not expecting something over 15 hours.

Somehow I get the feeling your backing up the 360. Hmmm could we have a fanboy here? Blu Ray is currently playing a huge role in the market. 360 had HD DVD and it lost to Blu Ray. I believe Blu Ray will keep getting better and an updated Blu Ray drive will eventually make it into Playstation 4. I admit, In Europe and the UK, 360 wins the online movie side due to there stupidly being no Playstation Movie Store. C'mon SCEE! The PS3 Works as a fantastic multimedia system but Xbox has better features online but what do you expect? 40 quid for a years subscription??Yeah good point. Kojima stated on the Konami conference that this is going to be a stealth action game, probably no different than MGS4. Read the live blog from the Konami conference... "It's primarily a stealth-action game, with Raiden as the main character." ...it'll probably be like MGS4, but with Raiden's abilities.[QUOTE="BioShockOwnz"][QUOTE="ANIALATOR136"] Yeah good point.
